HI,
My family and I just returned from our first vacation at HHI. We were there from 12/19 through 12/23. It was just magical.
For those of you going in the winter, be assured that there is plenty to do. My five-year-old twins were kept busy the whole time.
One magical moment....my son just loved B'Lou Crabbe. One night he went to a magic show featuring him. There were only five kids there so he got to participate quite a bit. The second time he went to the show there were at least 30 people there. He never got called on. This was the last night of our vacation. My DH brought my DS back to the room and he was in tears. (My son is really a good boy, not spoiled, he just really wanted to help B'LOu.) My husband took him back to the Community Hall to find B'Lou cleaning up. Before my husband could say a thing, B'Lou said hi to my son by name and told him that he was sorry he hadn't seen him during the show, otherwise he surly would have called on him. Then he began to do ball tricks and all sorts of magic tricks just for my son. He sent him on his way with a balloon and two extras for his sisters back at the room. It absoultely made his whole vacation.
I must admit that I do believe we were assigned the absolutely best room at the resort. #2611. It had a balcony overlooking the pool area and we could see the marsh and fishing pier as well. We were there at a very quiet time so it seemed as if we had our own private pool. Very relaxing Disney music came on every morning at 9:00am. We opened the balcony door every day just to enjoy the music. Perhaps in the summer this room might be a bit to busy, but for us, it was wonderful.
We met with Marc at the Preview Center and had a very enjoyable tour. We are both "sold" and plan to become members in about 2 years when my DH finishes medical school. I believe that HHI will be sold out by then, so we will keep our eyes open for The Beach Club!!
Thanks to all on this board that answered my many questions about HHI. It was all I possibly could have dreamed and so much more!!!
