Just Back from first trip "Home"

Spent May 11 to the 15th at our home resort BCV for the first time. Our first welcome home came from the ferry boat captain who took us over to the BC on our first morning there (arrived late Sat nite and stayed at Coronodo Springs) Got "Welcomed Homed" from some staff and not others at BC. What a beautiful place. Stayed in a studio for this short trip and thought it was plenty big enuf for Mom, Me Hubby and #3son who we took for his 12th B'day. Had 4th floor room 422, great view of the fireworks from epcot. Upon checking in at the BCV we told the clerk it was our son's birthday and they said they would send up ballons, they forgot, hubby reminded them the next day, forgot again. But they made up for it the third day, he got a card from goofy, tons of ballons and a plate of cookies, they also must have told Cape May because when we went in for dinner that night the table had ballons and taffy candy all over the table, they sang happy birthday and even had a small chocolate cake just for him, it was great, he felt very special! Great buffet at Cape May. All and all had a great trip, people very friendly, resort beautiful, great location, great weather, SO GLAD we made this investiment! Can't wait til our next trip home August 17th, in a two bedrom for 10 nights.

Very glad to hear that you experienced the magic that we all (DVC members) do when we come home.

Sounds like you son got a nice surprise. When we stayed at the BCV in Oct 2002 we were on the 4th floor and also had a great view of fireworks.

Did you enjoy Cape May? What are the Characters? I've heard nice things about it but haven't gotten there yet.
