Just back from first trip home!

We got back this past Saturday night from our first stay as DVC owners at AKV. We stayed in a value 1 BR at Jambo House. It was awesome! We ended up with a savannah view which was nice on Ostrich trail. We loved having the extra room, full kitchen and especially the washer and dryer! We walked down to Kidani village. We definitely prefer Jambo House. I didn't really like the looks of the building with the parking underneath. However, we did park our car there to go to the pool one day (which was a lot of fun, especially the water gun fights in the kid's area!) and it was nice getting into our car after it had been in the shade. We will probably stay there at some point, but I am just fine staying at Jambo. We had a lot of fun but won't be going back in the summer for a good long while. I am just going to have to work things around teacher work days I guess. Also, BLT is looking really nice! I definitely want to stay there at some point. I loved the convenience of the CR when we stayed there a few years ago.

Thank your lucky stars you aren't there now. We went from Jun 7-14th and it was hot but this week it's blistering hot w/ no rain! I wouldn't go in Summer either if I had other options!

All in all sounds like you had a fun time! Congrats on your first trip!

We were there around the same days as you. June 11 - 20. We had a thunderstorm on our DHS day (06/18) and it never really stopped and it felt great!!!! Once the lightning stopped anyway. LOL We got caught under a food cart because we were watching the parade before it got cancelled. Not a very big roof to keep the rain off.

We were in a value studio, Ostrich trail June 17-19 and also had a great time! Glad you enjoyed your stay!!
