We just returned from our 7th family trip to WDW and first trip as DVC members. Our first few days were in a 2BR at BCV on the fourth floor, and then we moved to a 1BR on the fifth floor. The inlaws were with us for a few days. Both rooms were beautiful, and the Beach Club Resort is fabulous! I am so glad we made the decision to join. I love the location, the atmosphere, and SAB was all that it was cracked up to be. We managed to swim 3 of the 7 days, eat a honkin' piece of meat at the Yachtsman Steakhouse, put a rather large dent in a Kitchen Sink at Beaches and Cream, watch Illuminations from the balcony, and I even managed a couple of trips to Rose and Crown for an early evening Guiness.
A couple of other highlights from the trip - I signed all of us up for the Family Magic Tour, but didn't tell them what it was, and it was really a lot of fun for the kids, us and the inlaws as well! Truly a great way to start the trip, and a must for anyone with kids. Mine are 10 and 12, and I thought they may be a bit old for this ("Do we have to go on this tour thing?"), but they really got into it! More than once during the tour I found my eyes leaking as I watched them looking for clues, and hopping and skipping through the parks - must have been something in the air...
Philharmagic was wonderful! My DD and DW and inlaws all did Test track for the first time with DS and me - and loved it. DS and I did Mission:Space twice, and could have done it twice a day! We were there this summer and rode it then, and it is one of my favorites now. I am ready to start planning my next trip home for Mardi Gras 2005! Only 11 1/2 months to go...
