Spent 5 nights in a one bedroom at Vero. To say the resort is beautiful is an understatement. DH thought one bedroom was too much for just the two of us (first vacation sans kids in many years). Next time he would like to stay longer in a studio. I'm o.k. with that. Got the "Welcome Home"and, surprisingly, an ocean view. I was under the impression that all the one bedrooms had no ocean view. It was the most relaxing trip we have ever had. The weather was so-so but we enjoyed the outdoor jacuzzi. Had Sunday brunch buffet at Sonya's. We enjoyed the Green room or whatever it's called (I forget already). I was impressed that no matter what the weather, the pool, jacuzzi and all activities remained ongoing. They had the campfire a couple of nights even though it was quite cold and windy. Everyone was courteous, friendly and helpful. It was great. Even though VWL is our home resort I have a feeling that DH is going to favor Vero. Thanks everyone for all your help from purchase through our first trip. If anyone has any questions please ask. I am anxious to finally be able to contribute some information to this great board.

I fell in love w/ Vero also but I heard HH is even better love those camp fires LOL

First trip Pharmlivin? I could swear you were a veteran! I'm so glad to hear you had a good time at Vero, even if the weather wasn't perfect. It's also good to hear there are one-bedrooms with oceanviews. Were you on the top floor?

pharmlivin,

We are taking our first trip to VB this June 30, we requested top floor, direct ocean view, 1BR. Is that what you had?

Yes it was the top floor in the number 15 building. The room is in the northeast corner of the building. I did not make any special request when I made the reservations except smoking because DH smokes. He did not smoke anywhere in or around the room and it did not smell like anyone had smoked there recently.

Thanks for replying back. We are looking forward to VB this summer.:D

this room had a studio lock off so I guess it is used as a two bedroom. Also, the resort did not seem all that busy. Maybe in busy times they use it as a two bedroom and that gives the impression that one bedrooms have no view. Just a thought.
