We (myself - 44yr old mom/planner, 37 yr old DH, and 5 Yr old DD) just returned from a 4 night stay at the Dolphin (2/14-2/18). We were on the Club Level (concierge). We had a great time. Our whole experience at the Dolphin was wonderful. Our bellhop was cheerful and extremely helpful giving details about the hotel and the park. Our room was on the 12th floor - no balcony, but a wonderful view of EPCOT and the Boardwalk. We could see the 9pm Illuminations fireworks from our room. The room itself had 2 double beds. I have a queen at home and I was concerned about that. However, I didn't have a problem at all. The room was a good size. The room also has a seperate vanity outside the toilet/tub area. There was an additional mirrored/lighted area that could be used for coffee/drinks and a make-up area. We did have to pay the resort fee. I didn't try to get it waved because my husband used the healthclub and we like to read the morning paper. The CL had an awesome continental breakfast every morning. Cereal, fruit, pastries, etc. All that you could want. They also had a very nice afternoon snack time. Just the thing to tide you over if you had late dinner reservations. Housekeeping was very good - the room was always very clean. They also did cute things with my daughter's stuffed animals. We used the pool once. My DD loved it. They have several pool areas between the Swan and the DOlphin. She liked the grotto pool with the waterfall. The staff in the Disney store was also very nice. They gave my daughter a free trading pin the first morning we were there. We ate at two of the restaurants - Tubbi's and The Coral Cafe (character breakfast on Sunday). They were both fine. I was very pleased with our entire visit. We had previously stayed at the Yacht Club and the only thing better at the Yacht Club was the pool - I liked Storm-a-long bay a little better overall. The location for the Dolphin is great if you like EPCOT/MGM. Within walking distance for both (or take the boats). We used the bus service for the other parks and had no trouble. I would recommended this hotel to anyone. The only drawback (small one) is that it is a very large hotel. It takes a while to learn your way around.

I felt we needed a stroller for our 4 year old dd at the hotel. My dh carried her most of the time.

Thank you for your report. I'm also thinking of staying CL for our two days in July. What time did the CL room open for breakfast and late afternoon snacks?

CSMCIC- did you get upgraded to CL or prebook? Also that was prime vacation week how full was the CL. You did say the food was plentyful. Also what types of baked goods were there for breakfast?

Thanks for the report. I have also booked the Dolphin CL (concierge) and was wondering if you can tell me what the "upgraded amenites" are they advertise. Also, do you know if the room is any larger than the standard rooms?

Let me try to respond to everyone in one message:

WDW2000 - I can't say that there were any real upgraded amenities. I never say any other rooms. I think they were standard rooms - maybe a bit larger. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Dolphin Boy - We stayed in room 12045. The odd numbered rooms were on the side facing the bay, boardwalk and EPCOT. We could also see a bit of MGM.

Samsa - Breakfast was from 7-10am (M-Sat). On Sunday it stayed open until 10:30am. From 5-7pm it was open with a selection of snacks and beverages. The snacks were cheese tray, crackers, one hot hors d'oeuvres, veggie tray, cookies and beverages. The lounge itself stayed open until 9pm. You could get beverages and sometimes cookies until that late. There was always an attendant nearby to help.

DISNURSE - We prebooked as CL. The floor was busy. Chick-Fil-A had a convention in the hotel and quite a few were on this floor. The lounge would get busy but never too busy. Baked goods - bagels, english muffins, various breads, and approx 5-7 different types of very yummy pastries. We never left there hungry!

Hope this answers all the questions. I know you will all enjoy your stay!
