Just back from DLH & GC....

We just got back a few days ago....any questions? We stayed at DLH & GC, went to DL and CA both. Had a great time, wish we were still there!

As I ask everyone, did you get to see the Flag Retreat Ceremony, or see the Disney All American band play anywhere? And if you have a picture of them, I'd be sooo grateful!

Didn't see the flag retreat, but did see the band. They were fun to watch and I was suprised there were a lot of band members. Sorry tho, no pic.

How were the hotels? Is the GC worth the extra $$$?

Can you tell me anything about the spa? I have heard that there are several packages to choose from, but cannot find anything on any site.

Also, is there a car rental desk in the hotel?

The GC is really nice and the staff is extra attentive. We stayed 4 nites at DH and then 2 nites at GC. The GC is a little darker inside, hard to describe...it has that woodsy feel. Reminds me us the WL at WDW. I'd say it's worth the $$ although I think the rooms are a little smaller than DH. Grizzley Peak view is so wonderful, you can open your sliding door and listen to the water from the raft rapids ride.

We didn't use the spa, although I hear it's wonderful! ($$)
Sorry, also don't know about a car rental desk @ GC. I would be shocked if there wasn't one between the 3 Disney hotels. Worst case, I have used the rental desk at the Marriott and that's just around the corner.

I know what you mean about the ($$) of the spa, but my husband and I are going for our 25th anniversary. When I booked I was given a "romance package" option with dinner at the Napa Rose and a spa treatment of some kind, pin and souvenir champagne glasses. At that point I said no, now I'm thinking, "why not?" It's a once in a lifetime thing for us, so now I want more information.
