Just back from DL!!

Hey! We checked into the GC last Sunday and we had a great time. Ate at BB, Ariels Grotto--both were excellent!! Our family got picked to open Disneyland on Sunday--so cool!! We had a lot of fun-I really loved the resort. I love how close everything is compared to DW.
Only bad part is on the last day my mom fell down the stairs at the GC and broke her shoulder!!

Other than that we hall had a great time-thank you so much for all your help everybody! Can't wait to return!!

Glad you had a nice trip. Sorry about your mom. Hope she gets better soon...How was the GC/Disney staff when responding to her fall?

I hope that your mother is healing well and not in alot of pain. I found that very distressing to hear as when we go in dec. we will be taking my mother and my mother and father in law. i will be extra careful to watch them on the stairs.

She is still in a lot of pain. It has now been a week since she fell. When she went to the doctor there they told her there was one fracture. When she returned home her doctor took more x rays and there are at least 2 if not more fractures there. The staff was really nice at the GC. They let us stay in the room as late as neeeded (it was our check out morning). They sent up milk and cookies and a note from Mickey.
I really loved the GCH. It was beautiful. It was great and we both talk about returning. So the fall did not ruin it all all. Accidents happen. She is just really strong and amazing. Thanks again for all your help.

Glad the fall didnt ruin your stay...sounds like you mom is taking it well. Sorry shes in pain...tell the Dr. she needs codeine...lol. She'll still hurt...she just wont care anymore..lol.

Hope she gets better. Soon.

So glad you had a great time, but very sorry to hear about your mother!! At least it happened on your last day! We went to Hawaii once and our first day there, oldest dd cut her foot open and couldn't swim the entire time we were there

I like your attitude about it, though!! Hope your mom feels better soon. We're going to the GC for the first time in just a couple of weeks and I'm so excited. Glad you loved it (though I've never heard anyone say they didn't!).

Yes-that resort is amazing-I can't wait to go back sometime.
