Just back from Cypress Pointe Grand Villa's

We got back late Weds night. We stayed at CPGV's for 7 nights. Booked through Access Travel USA for 530$ including tax. Was unsure which part we were going to be put in and was pleasently surprised to have gotten the GV's for that price. We stayed in the Porpous blding right behind Section 2's pool and little store. Overall our experience was okay. The space was great, the kitchen great etc but we had problems with the main bathroom toilet (called maintenance twice about it figured they got it fixed it wasn't the kids pottied in there more and didn't tell me it was borke it wasn't flushing still so I called maintenance again well the guy shows up and asks me if I tried plunging it I said uh no so he said well it's in this closet try that so "I" plunged the toilet while he stood at the door) took two calls to get the high chair I requested. The carpet was ripped in two places, the paint worn off of the tratan chairson the arms. Did it make us have a bad time, no. It did however make me wonder what the older resort was like if this is what the GV's were like. The kids loved the pools. We had a fun time at the parks but it was so gosh darned hot and humid. The humidity is what made it so bad. The love bugs were a pain in the butt too LOL.

OH we were also disapointed to find out the pool behind us was HOT the water was like hot tub hot (and salty) The valcano pool was a little cooler.

We stayed at Cypress Pointe in May and sounds likethe rooms were in better shape--at least in the building we were in--than you experienced. We were also somewhat disappointed with how warm the pools are--when it's 90 you want to cool off, not take a bath! We loved the playground over in the Grand Villas area--so nice and shady! We were really happy with the resort overall and had gotten a really good rate through Sky Auction so that was even better.

We booked through Hotel Kingdom in December, and are arriving on a late flight from up north. Do you know if there is someone in their registration office 24/7?

We just returned from a week at the Grandvillas. We had a 3 bedroom 3 bath villa I got on skyauction for $245! It was a great value. The room was located in building C, and was in better shape than what you described. The furniture in the family room was a little worn, but other than that, everything looked brand new in the bedrooms and kitchen. If you go again maybe ask to check the room out first, and make sure it is okay. The buildings, I believe are newest as you go down the alphabet, G being the newest.

We also had trouble with love bugs, but that is Florida in September. We liked having warm pools, and also liked the salt water pools.

What other timeshare/condos have you stayed in that you like better? We are going again in December and like trying new places.
