Just back from CSR 10-21-10-27

First things first....CSR is beautiful, just beautiful ! We arrived at CSR on Sunday morning about 11:00, we stayed the night before at NICK hotel. Our room was ready and we got Cabanas 8A, it was a GREAT building. We had a beautiful view of the lake, and were very close to the pool and bus stop 4. It was a small walk to the main building, but not bad at all. The grounds are so pretty and I was very impressed. Mousekeeping did a great job, no towel animals, but that's okay.
The pool area was beautiful and my kids had a great time on the water slide, we also rented a boat and went out on the lake.
The only little thing that I didn't care for was the Pepper Market, the food was okay, good selection but nothing I got was very good. But twice in there I was treated rudly, once by a cashier and once by the lady who was working at the bakery.
Overall CSR was AWESOME !!! I would go back in a second !

Not the bakery lady? Everytime we've been there, that area has been manned by two of the sweetest older women I've met on property. They are adorable!

Was it the little old lady that works at the bakery. She likes to do everything herself. She can be ornery.

YES, it was a little old lady with long hair. I told my kids to pick what they wanted, and the lady told me to read the sign, which says to please wait for assitance ( something like that)...I was like huh ? I read the sign....but my kids still need to decide what they want so they can tell you. Then she huffed at me, and proceeded to keep pointing at the sign. Finally on her own time, she got a bag a put the muffins in that my kids were pointing at. She was just rude, and not very Disney like.

We were also in 8A during the same time period. Housekeeping was generally good: we got balloons and autographed photos after a $5 tip, but no clean glasses another morning.

Pepper Market was just okay, and Maya Grill remains less than mediocre. Room service was worse than these.

We had a problem with a pizza and grocery delivery: they were not allowed beyond the Lobby, and Bell Services nor the delivery people informed us of the situation.

We do love this resort, but the food has us thinking of another resort next time.

I have a funny story about one of the bakery ladies (don't know if it was the same one). Before my trip I cut my shoulder length hair into a short Victoria Beckam 'do, and thought I looked hot. Well one morning while waiting for the lady to help me, she nicely said "I'll be right with you, SIR" Of course my sister got a big laugh out of it. I on the other hand, went back to the room to apply more lip gloss!

I have a funny story about one of the bakery ladies (don't know if it was the same one). Before my trip I cut my shoulder length hair into a short Victoria Beckam 'do, and thought I looked hot. Well one morning while waiting for the lady to help me, she nicely said "I'll be right with you, SIR" Of course my sister got a big laugh out of it. I on the other hand, went back to the room to apply more lip gloss!

I forgot to say, that we never waited more than 10 mins for any bus to come. When we were at the parks returning to the resort, both my dh and I noticed how crowded the POR/POFQ waiting area was, ours was never crowded.

Yikes! Really? I had shipped the items for DS gift basket with the decorations and placed an order with costco.com and was told at the front desk during check-in that I had some packages waiting for me. She then gave me a number to call to have them take to our resort room. Once we were in the room, I called and the 3 packages were there in about 10 mins.

I was there from 10/19 - 10/24.
