Hi,

This morning I was back at home from a 13 night stay at the Coronado Springs resort.
It was super! Its a great resort to stay. Bus service was also great. The Boardwalk - Coronado Springs bus serice has stopped, but one time I was at the bus stop, I was the only one, at the boardwalk and took me straight to Coronado Springs.
Also another evening we went on a Disney MGM bus, but Disney MGM was allready closed. The driver asked me and a few others why we wanted to go to MGM. We told him that we want to go to boardwalk and he took us straight there.
But also the bus service to downtown Disney was great.

Any questions?

Marcel Slangen.

mslangen, glad to hear you had a great trip! 13 nights sounds fantastic. And it is great the bus drivers were so accomodating.

What was your favorite thing about the resort?

Marcel -

Thanks for the report.

I have read that food service is inadequate for a resort of CSR's size. Did you find this to be true?

What area did you stay in? What condition were the rooms and how was housekeeping? Were the landscaping and pool areas clean and neat?

Hi,

At first I had requested a room in the Casitas section on a higher floor. Think that this request had not arrived at the hotel, since they had allready assigned another room to me.
It was in the Cabanas section and it was on first floor.
He showed me on the map where it was and if I wanted it or if he has to look for another room.
The room was in Cabanas building 9B and the room number was 9530.
It couldn't be closer to the main building, and also the digsite was not really far away. I told him to go with this room and if I wasn't comfortable with the room I could call the front desk for another one.
The room had not a parking lot view, but a water view. Thats the water that is located just right from the main building. Bus stop number 1 was also very close.
I couldn't find anything wrong with the room itself.
Couldn't find anything dirty and there were no defects on the telephone, the radio, the TV or the shower.
The room was made everyday and towels used towels were replaced with new ones.
Because I was there solo I never run out of towels, so I didn't call housekeeping for anything. Also I didn't use room service.

The area looked very nice. During the day people were cloeaning the foodpaths and after midnight or in the early morning I noticed people working to maintain the nature (gardening)

Didn't use roomservice, so I can't tell you about that service.
Two times I went to the breakfast buffet at the Maya Grill in the morning and it was never busy. It was a good buffet and moderate priced.
Did also breakfast a few times at the peppermarket. The bakery had a good assortment of pastries, cakes, muffins, bages etc.
Did also one time dinner at the pepper market. You have to wait while they prepare your food, so the food you get is fresh. Found to be good quality, but also a little bit overpriced I think.
Also the mug with the free refills was great.
Never had dinner at Maya grill.

We were there last summer before going to Old Key West. The whole place was beautiful. I would definitely stay again. We only chose Coronado because it was available with a code but would certainly go again. The lake and grounds are lovely and the pool is amazing -- truly giant. All the public areas were spotless. We ate at Pepper Market and it was very busy as there was a convention of school nurses. Groups of these ladies were everywhere -- I felt very safe! Anyhow, Pepper Marker was busy but not anything abnormal for Disney. The place has zillions of tables! There was also a little store that sold a la carte items -- milk, muffins, chips, snacks -- and we bought breakfasts here and ate outside by the water. Our room was colorful and bright and also very clean. When we moved over to OKW the bellman came promptly to help us transfer our luggage. We also had a stopped toilet (too much tissue!) and called for a plunger. They sent a "fixit" man within 20 minutes. No problems at all at this great place.
