Just got back yesterday from CBR - Thought I would be adding my two-cent mini resort stay report
First the good -
Check in was great - smooth and quick
Shutters is awesome!
The food court is great (except the faux philly steak & cheese sandwich made DH sick
)
Scenery around resort was great and playgrounds were wonderful - we had lots of fun playing with the ducks, lizards, frogs, and bunnies
Pirate Cruise was fun for the boys & was a great laundry break for the rest of us
Resort Transportation was good for the most part
Trinidad North was in VERY close proximity to OPR
Now the Not-So-Good -
Housekeeping was not the best - Took 3 days to wipe the sink of toothpaste after our first morning
The carpets were NASTY
- our socks were BLACK! after a few minutes
Beds were not very comfortable
Plumbing in the bathroom was loud
- a very nice wakeup call at 3 am each morning from the people above us
Beds were short sheeted - and sheets were stained - definitely laundered - but stained
NO towel animals the entire week
Kids were sad!
Pool was O.K. - we were excited about the slide and the kids thought it wasn't really fun
It was our first stay there and will not be going back
This resort was not for us
We booked Value (ASMU family suite again) for the bounceback offer next year - cheaper...better housekeeping...liked the family suite layout better....and for the amount of time we spent at the resort we don't need beaches and hammocks (though they were comfy after a long day)
