Just back from Caribbean Beach!

Nope, but I'd love to see pics :)

Going for my Honeymoon from 3/2 - 3/11

The flier of new pool was posted. Do you have any additional info. on that whole area?

I have read some really poor reviews about the condition of the hotel rooms and a lot of complaints about the rooms not being cleaned very well. What building did you stay in and what did you think of the condition of your room & bathroom? We will be there next week with our kids and just want to know to expect.

Thanks for any advice! Hope you had a wonderful trip.

We were in the Matinique building 26. Great location. I will have to agree the room was poorly cleaned. I think they just made the beds! We stayed 10 days and I had to ask after the 5th day if they would change the sheets. It was not "bad" but it was not "good" either. One thing I was not happy about was that we did not get a room until 5:30 pm. We had to cancel our 6:30 dinner reservations! I know the check in is "after three" but I arrived at 11:00 am and let them know that I was on property. We had a few other issues, but overall had a good experience.

Was the pool closing a big issue? Would you recommend another hotel? My heart tells me this is the right hotel but the pool issue and some other things bother me. I am considering Port Orleans French and my first choice in this category was Coronado, but I think all standard rooms are gone for the time we want to go....

Also, how was the food!?
Also, can anyone recommend or justify my idea that a moderate will be worth the extra 400 or so for a week?

Thanks in advance.

I'm staying there Feb 20th to the 27th. Any tips you have for stying there? I see I should make sure to check the sheets! And between the matress(once found interesting things there) lol I used to be a housekeeper so I know a few tricks. How was the service otherwise? When we fly into Orlando it should hopefully be around 11am so by the time we get to the resort and wait inline maybe we will get into our room right away

I didn't think the pool being closed was a big deal. There was a small pool near our room and dd thought it was fine! As far as the food ~it was not bad!

FYI-- none of the resorts will automatically change the sheets during your stay. They just do it between guests. It's to save energy/water.

But, like the OP did, you can request they change them. I didn't want anyone to think CBR had a sheets problem.

The maids at the Poly told me they do it on the 4th day of your stay......I passed on it, so they did not change ours during our stay per my request.

Do people really expect their sheets to be changed everyday anyway?

I doubt anyone at home changes their sheets more than 1x a week.

I thought all hotels changed sheets every day! You pay the same rate for the room each day so the room should be cleaned every day and fresh sheets and towels every day also!

Tinkerbrie, Did you hear any construction noise while you were there, and did the construction bother you at all? thanks

Freemore- No we did not here any construction noise at all. It is a very quiet and peaceful resort. We walked around and spent time at the pool and still did not here any anything.
