We just returned from a wonderful stay at the BoardWalk Villas! Wow, I love that place! We had a two-bedroom boardwalk view on the fifth floor - excellent view! I will post a few pictures tomorrow - I did loose most of my pictures (anything from yesterday to the beginning of the trip) because the digital camera decided to malfunction erasing the memory card.

The trip went well. We started out at Gaylord Palms Resort, which is an excellent resort just east of Disney - very close. It is absolutely beautiful. We stayed in the Emerald Bay section, which I loved. I'd be more than happy to answer any questions.

On to the BoardWalk! We arrived at 12:30 PM, and the room was ready! I really loved having the boardwalk view, but there was quite a bit of noise at around 1-2AM when people were leaving Jellyrolls. But, it's the fun of it all - and since I'm young, I found the people watching very entertaining.

Met a few really nice DVC'ers. Had a really nice afternoon by the quiet pool with a DVC'ers son yesterday (Thursday), from south of Boston, Mass. Parent(s) a DIS'er?

Any questions? Feel free to ask away!

Glad you had a great trip. Always love to hear great trip reports from my favorite place in the "world".

Thanks for the report.

Wow, I totally agree! Every night we heard drunk people singing LOUDLY as they left. Must be a fun place! :teeth:
Hopefully, we can try it out on our kid free anniversary trip! :hyper: (But, I promise I'll be quiet!)

I was going to try and book a boardwalk view for our August, 2005 trip. After hearing you guys mention the noise, was it enough that you would rather have another view?

We are arriving in Orlando on a Saturday and are looking for a place to stay. I've only driven past this hotel, but it looks fantastic. Any details you can share would be helpful.

I LOVED the BW view, even with the noise. Next time I'll take one of those noise makers, though that plays rain or white noise or something.

I really liked the view, and have it booked for our next trip. But, it's a personal thing, if a little noise would wake you up in the middle of the night, I'd opt for the standard or garden/water view. From what I saw, I think I'd be very happy with a pool view or a canal view. ;)

It truly is a luxury resort. The atrium is huge and beautiful! Many things to see! And, the rooms are first class. We were in Emerald Bay, and the beds were actual beds (not just a headboard attached to the wall), and they had a footboard as well. The rooms had a seperate vanity area from the toilet/bath area, a large closet, a huge armoire with TV, fridge, and safe, and a desk with computer. One of our rooms had a view of the Marina Pool, and the other had an atrium view with balcony.

If you have any specific questions, I'd be more than happy to try to answer them. :)

Thanks for the report! So glad to hear you enjoyed the BW view. I have it booked on our next FOUR trips and we have not tried it yet  I hope we like it!

Where along the Boardwalk was your room located?

We were in the Crest O' The Wave Section. It was almost at the end of the hall. And, to be honest, the halls are long, but not that long. We've had similar walks at about all of the resorts.

Great view - we just came back too. We were down from 6/21-7/2. I would like to stay in Crest o' the Wave next time down.

Thanks for the pictures - wish I was there now.:(

I really liked Crest O' The Wave. Honestly, any villa at BWV would be fine with me! ;)
