We've been members there since 2003 and this was the best room experience we've ever had. We were in our requested area for a studio, right by the elevator on the third floor, close to the lobby, woods view. I LOVED the renovated room!! So many years, by the end of our trip, our room is totally cluttered. Not this time. There was tons of storage. We were kind of shocked at the small drawers at first, but then quickly just rolled our shirts and shorts, and it worked out perfectly. I used the drawers underneath the coffee table and bedside table for misc. stuff, worked out fantastic. I also loved the mattress topper, SO comfortable. We used the table for breakfast every morning and the room felt very spacious for the two of us. The best thing I packed was an old fashioned light up digital clock. I have to know the time in the middle of the night, or all day for that matter, and don't want to check my phone for it. I'll bring that back each trip. Stayed for two weeks, trash and towel came right on time. They brought back the ice water downstairs before you get on the elevator, a much appreciated small thing when its hot. Used either the villa pool and Stormalong Bay every afternoon. Two of the SAB hot tubs were malfunctioning, but I'm sure will be up and running soon. I was never so happy to see one of them "over 18 only", so welcomed!! but that was the one that the temp. wasn't working, they said they were waiting for a part to come in. We were there during the hurricane, Disney did a phenomenal job entertaining families and feeding them. I say well done to DVC on updating my second home!!

2 weeks in BCV sounds heavenly! Glad you had such a great stay!

So glad to hear the positive review. We're headed to BCV right now, if this traffic lets up. I trust the lack of a ceiling fan wasn't a problem, since you didn't mention it. Did you get the room-ready text? If not, where did you check in, the Villas or the Beach Club?

BCV is my home resort. How wonderful you got to stay 2 weeks!!! Wow!!! And here I'm thrilled with 5 nights.

Totally agree about bringing a clock from home.

Check in at the Beach Club front desk if you don't get a text.

I'm one of the bigger critics of the remodel, but I have to say that the lack of ceiling fan was not an issue at all for us. Just be sure, in the master walk-in shower, to either close the door first or point the shower head down and towards the wall when you turn on the water or you are 100% guaranteed that all the water will go out of the shower and cause a huge flooded mess. Another fine feature of the remodel. o_O

Well, here I sit in my BCV studio-thanks for sending me to the front desk at the BC-that's where I went. Our studio faces the dreaded road and has a tiny, 4 cup coffee maker, so
you might think we're grumpy. However, did anyone not notice the floor in the studios' bathrooms? It looks just like white sand at the beach-I've never seen tile like it. And the tile around the tub looks like the waves of water, so you feel like "Under the Sea". And the hall carpet is so pretty. We just listened to "the bombing of Epcot", probably fireworks, but a tree was in our way. Who says this room doesn't feel "beach-y?" Looks nice!

I couldn't agree more. We just got back on the 14th and had a fantastic !!!! trip. The resort was in great shape. First time doing online check-in and it worked. I was actually kind of shocked that it worked. Our request were granted, couldn't have been happier.

OP here, I know you've checked in but I'll answer your questions..I did the online check in and did get a couple of texts, but they directed me to the front desk to reconfigure our magic bands before going to our room. Not a big deal, I actually enjoy going in and talking to the front desk to check in, will probably do so next time. Sorry you got a road room, but on the upside, its closest to the temporary bus drop off! The lack of ceiling fan, only bothered me a couple of times, but it wasn't that bad. We were always adjusting the room temp to comfort, whether it was colder or hot outside. And the first thing I did was call housekeeping for a full size coffee maker, no problem, they sent it up within minutes. Have an awesome trip!

As long as I can spend half my time at SAB, I can live with the bland theming. I must say, it was nice to stay in a refurbished room. They were neglected far too long.

We took your advice and called for a full-size coffee maker. They informed us that they're all out, so we'll make this work. However, DH noted a problem with these little coffee makers, which reportedly make 4 cups of coffee, but in reality make 2 1/2 Disney mugs. Since the studios could have 4 adults in them, the little coffee makers are pretty impractical.

Agreed about the smaller coffee makers being impractical. I hope they can get you a large one!

I too wish they would get rid of those minuscule coffee makers, they are good for one person. I think they brought me a brand new Mr Coffee full size one, odd they don't have plenty in storage. I hope you're having a good time!

What is so odd is that they are doing the little 4 cups. I have read reports of the 4 cups in some studios but we've always had the 12 cup. It's the same occupancy as a 1BR - so make it the same coffee maker! A 4 cup would take care of my husband - I'd have to forgo coffee.

I suggest that you send an email to member satisfaction, if enough write, maybe they will change the policy since we pay for housekeeping and the appliances.

So happy to read these reviews, since we'll be at BCV in 2 weeks!

So happy to hear positive things about the BCV remodel. AND am so jealous of you being able to spend two weeks.

We just got back also from BCV. We had a great 7 night stay. No issues/problems. DH and I were in a 1BDR so we had the larger 12 cup coffee maker (of course one does not get 12 cup out of it - not that we needed to find out). We have had the 4 cup in the studio. Not a bad idea to write a letter. The 4 cup is way too small. Sometimes I bring my own coffee mug too. I don't want to go out and sit on the balcony and be done with my coffee in two sips :D
