We're unforunately back from our trip to BCV. We stayed in room 555, a dedicated studio. First off, let me preface this review that this was our first stay in a studio after all of our stays being in a one bedroom. I think the saying is true, once you stay in a one bedroom, you can't go back. We were VERY cramped in the studio and will never stay in one again. We started our trip out with a few nights at the Poly, and never felt cramped there. The rooms there are bigger, but I think the room required for the kitchenette and entrance area takes away space from the rest of the room. The room didn't feel any larger than a room at the All-Stars, except for the larger bathroom area and kitchenette. Everytime I walked past a room that was a one bedroom or two bedroom, I told my DH I had room envy. Now on to our stay. We checked in at 9:30, and upon check-in, we were told the resort was sold out and we would have to wait for a room. No problem there. The CM then said let me check what rooms are available for check-in today. She then read off all the studios available (they were four) and let me pick one. I of course choose the Epcot view, but was amazed that no rooms seemed to be assigned and I was able to choose my room. Is it possible that BCV is going to the first come first serve basis on room assignment? We made our ressies only 4 months in advance so I made no requests on my ressie as to location, since I figured I had no hope of getting them. We then went to SAB to wait until our room was ready. Luckily for us it was ready at 1:30!!! The room was nice, but read my comments above on size. Also, since we had the LOVELY Epcot view, we also had the dreaded service road view. It was LOUD and definately detracted from sitting on the balcony. We had to run the fan on high at night to keep the noise out from the road and the trucks backing into(beeping) the service area off to the right. We pool hopped over to BWV one morning, and it was my DD's FAVORITE thing of the trip!! She must have went down that clown slide at least 20 times! She is demanding we stay at BWV's next summer, so hopefully I'll have success at the 7 month window for a preferred view.
