Just back from ASMu

I was credited the difference, and we did have a great time. It's just a crummy way to start your vacation. I've stayed at ASMu & ASMo and this only happens to me at ASMu...must just be bad luck.

Yep that would chap me and set a bad tone! I guess I just need to be prepared to not get my preferred room next month! I want preferred at Music since it seemed to me to be the most spread out of the values. Which is good since the grounds are lovely and more lush than the other values but bad when you come back to the resort after a long day or want to refill your soda mug quickly! I am sorry that happened to you!

I read on here about this happening to someone who had booked CR MK view and ended up in a garden room. They were reimbursed as well, but this is sort of like purchasing steak and getting ground beef instead. I understand if you put it as a request but pay for std, but if you pay for preferred, you had BETTER be given preferred.

Even if you did request a 2nd floor room it is not justification because you shelled out extra $$ for a preferred which should put it at a higher priority than giving you a 2nd floor room. At the very least they should have offered you a choice of preferred location or floor preference.

This exact same thing happened to me in May '07: booked preferred, was given standard - in Rock building - and they never even told me I was downgraded until I looked at the map after I walked away. I was really ticked off and wanted to switch resorts, but it was after 10PM and we were only there for a long weekend...

I will no longer stay at a resort where I need a preferred room. That's why I like POFQ so much - no building is too far away from anything.
