Hi everyone!
I'm just back from the trip of a lifetime to Japan - we were in Japan for 2 weeks and spent our last 2 days at Tokyo Disney Resort.

I would recommend the experience of visiting Japan to anyone and of visiting TDR to all Disney fans, if it's ever possible for you! The whole thing was less expensive than we feared it would be - we got return flights from Heathrow (via Helsinki) for around £550 each in the BA January sale, paid around £500 each in total for our 12 nights of hotel stays through lots of research and deal hunting, and once there we found everything to be very affordable. I actually came back home with money left. So I guess my point is, it might be a more achievable dream than you think, if it's somewhere you'd like to go.

The Tokyo resort is quite simply, Disney done to perfection. There has been no expense spared with the creation of the two parks, especially the unique and incredible DisneySea - and it shows. There seem to be more shows and parades than you can possibly cram in, and all the attractions look perfect and function perfectly. The parks are on a bigger and grander scale than I'm used to as well. I'm afraid that in my trip report Paris doesn't compare too favourably but that's not the fault of DLP: no park could really compare with the splendour of Tokyo! It just shows what is possible when money is no object for park management.

If you'd be interested in following my trip report, i have started posting it on the Tokyo forum here: http://www.disboards.com/threads/tr-perfect-2-days-at-tdr-to-end-our-japanese-adventure.3449174/

I'm posting the Disney trip report first, then I'll add some stories and info from the rest of our time in Japan.

Welcome back :) funnily enough DH and I were only talking yesterday about going Disney east in the next few years so I am really going to enjoy reading all about your adventures. :thumbsup2
