Just back from All Stars-Pop Warner drove us crazzzy!!!

Did these kids happen to wear shirts, jackets, etc. so that you could identify what school and town they were from? I only mention it because if they did, perhaps you could get on the internet and find an address to their school.

I think their principal might be interested to hear how these kids represented their schools and hometowns. At the very least, it may prompt them to rethink the amount of chaperones they bring on the next trip. It wouldn't hurt to try, and maybe these kids will learn that their actions have consequences.

Sorry to hear about your trouble, I hope it didn't spoil your trip!

Ok...I wanted to add about my pop warner experience. BTW, we moved to the county fair area at ASMu, and it didn't help. :-)

We had a planned split stay and moved to POR on Wednesday. There were plenty of pop warner cheerleaders there, too, but we didn't ever hear any cheering or running about. AND it appeared that there were two adults for every child, so I think those groups must have traveled as families. The behavior was so much better at that resort that even my 8 year old and 7 year old commented. When kids recognize bad and good behavior and comment, you know there is a problem!!

While we always enjoy the cheerleaders during the day (although the college ones give me heart failure watching their pile ups LOL), the nighttime saw many chaperones out by the pool bar, and kids going wild, screaming and running, and boys and girls gathering in the playground areas to "play".

I enjoyed one group however, where after lights out, the kids retired to their room, and the chaperones put masking tape across every door. When I asked what on earth they were doing, she said the masking tape had to be in one piece in the morning, or the kids in the room where it wasn't got demerits, which affected their ability to compete. There were a quiet and respectful bunch..and just happened to be from Upstate NY!!

My dd and I just got back from AllStarMu last night. We got there on Friday the 12th. I was really concerned about the kids there. But, much to my surprise, it wasn't too bad. Yes, there were some pretty impolite kids. But, they seemed to be with their parents. If the parents can't take the time to correct them, then I guess we should be blaming the parents. We were in Jazz, on the third floor, at the end of the walkway right at the elevator area. We had no noise to speak of. We faced the courtyard also. Opposite from the playground area, facing over to Broadway. I have to say that I was really pleasantly surprised with how much I liked this resort. WE found the CM's to be nicer and more helpful than the ones at the Polynesian last summer!! Ah well. But we will try to avoid the crowds of kids next year and maybe try the week following Thanksgiving.

We were one of those cheer groups at AllMu and I am shocked to hear of the problems. I hope it was not any of our girls!! Before we left, we made sure every girl had an adult resposible for her. I think we only had 4 girls out of 35 who did not have a parent with them. We have stayed in hotels before with our girls and I believe all in all they know how to behave and what the consequences are if they dont. I do know one day I was in the laundry room by the piano pool and there were at least 20 kids football and cheer hanging out in there. Not sure what they were doing but I stayed with my clothes.
We were in Broadway. Please let me know if there were any problems with any groups from our building!

I think I would have knocked on doors until I found a chaperone, asked for the name of their school and fired off a few letters to school officials and families.
