We are just back from our first AKL stay and it was, in a word, amazing. We reserved standard view, and were upgraded to pool view. We were in a third floor room, and the view from our balcony was wonderful. We could see the flamingos, and even off in the distance we could see animals on the Savannahs.
The music that they play throughout the grounds adds so much to the atmosphere. I couldn't wait to get out to the balcony for my coffee in the morning.
The lobby is amazing, and everywhere you look there is something to see. There are animal viewing areas everywhere.
While I think they could use a little more food choice, the food we did have there was excellent. We ate at Boma three times because it was so good. The Chicken Pepper Pot soup at the Mara was sooo good.
I added a third adult to our reservation a couple days before we left and they did not charge us extra for her. Not sure why.
We laughed because it seemed that every time one of us looked puzzled about something, a CM showed up to see if there was anything we needed! Everyone from checkin to checkout was so welcoming and helpful.
If you are awaiting your first stay here, I can guarantee you will not be disappointed.

We leave in about 2.5 weeks and I am just thrilled. We are planning on spending about 50% of our time at the resort and the concierge lounge
and it sure seems as though it's going to be a sure thing
