Just back from a week at ASmusic -- Great stay

We loved our stay at AS Music. We were there the whole last week of Oct. and they still had pool activities going on everynight after 3:00pm-til the evening movie. One night they showed two movies. Nice and relaxing after a day at the parks. The hotel was not too crowded and it was clean. Never had to park more the 5 spaces from the walkways, even late at night.
From the moment of checkin things were magical. Someone named DJ was in the lobby asking everyone if they had anyquestions, etc. Everyone was nice from checkin, to food court to mousekeeping. We would definately do this again my kids 7 & 9 really liked it too. We stayed at Calypso very close to the food court. We liked it even more than ASmovies and Pop. I think because of the activities and because it was less crowded (although the parks seemed pretty crowded).

Glad you had a great time. We stayed in Nov one year and we were shocked at how great as stay at a "value" resort could be. Very clean, great theming, good food and a very friendly staff. Wonderful place!

We're thinking about AS Music in January - haven't stayed there in awhile. Are standard rooms a good distance away from food court? Don't want to pay for preferred as AP rates in January are too good too pass up on Standard rooms. Also, did you have any issues with parking at the resort?

Are standard rooms a good distance away from food court?

Jazz is the 1st std. room section just beyond the preferred (Calypso), then Broadway/Rock Inn with Country Fair being the furthest out.

Also, did you have any issues with parking at the resort?

I've never had any parking issues with ASMu - I enjoy the Broadway section since it's fairly close to the parking lot. I also like it's closeness to the quiet (piano) pool and it's themeing, yet I don't find it too far from the food court.

We will be there on Tuesday! Can't wait! How far is far from the food courts? Should I call and request a certain bldg? We have a one yr old and a 9 yr old. How far is the bus stops from the food court? Thanks in advance for all the info!

We didn't use buses at all. As far as parking we had no problems at all, no matter the time. We showed up at 11:00pm and 12:00AM a couple of nights and parked very close to the walkway @5 spots.

I have to admit that I'm glad I paid the extra for preferred. We stayed at Calypso. It made it easier for late night runs for snacks, soda, etc. And the kids were able to get back to the room fairly quickly after the pool at night which was a little chilly. While eating breakfast at the foodcourt, we'd realize we forgot something and had to run up to the room again.

Thanks for the Disney contact, I will let them know. I was originally told the programs would end sometime late Sept. early Oct. So I was thrilled to have them.
