I have a question...How often do the buses come to take you to the parks? Is it the same as the full Disney hotels?

I booked our room with the Govt. Discount. When we got to our room.
#16103 we had a beautiful view. Epcot to our left , Swan straight ahead and Mgm and the pool to our right. We could see fireworks from both and some in the distance.

Yes we had bath and body works shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. Dolphin soaps and bath gel. We got nightly turn down with the weather forecast for the next day with chocolates. My ds loved the chocolate.

We rented a car so we really didn't use the buses. When we did though, the first bus was full and there was another one right behind it to pick us up. (magic kingdom). We drove to mk the rest of the time. It was just easier with the Baby.

All in all we had a great stay.

I just got back as well from a wonderful stay at the Swan!

Sometimes you luck out and the bus comes right away but if we had to wait it was no more than 15 to 20 mins.

I too just returned from a wonderful stay at the Swan and it was perfect. Who knows, we may have seen each other passing by or at the pool or at the boat and never knew it

As Blondie asked, did you also get the B&BW toiletries? We were both curious if they were given at both hotels.

Wasn't it Hot!!!!!!! A little heat doesn't bother us though. We know whats coming in the next few months. Cold cold cold and snow!! The leaves already started changing here on a few trees. School starts next week. Summer is over. Boo Hoo

Yes, it was extremely hot but no rain which was perfect! Didn't those hurricane winds bring some relief? DH and I went to Epcot nightly because it was soooo comfortable. There was a constant breeze and it felt almost like indian summer.

Yes, here in NJ we get our share of the cold and snow but not like you so we should appreciate it right?

when were you at Disney? We just got home last night and had rain every night- Fri, Sat, and Sun.

We left Thursday, Aug. 23. I heard that day that the weather forecast for the weekend was going to rain. When did you arrive?

There is no additional charge for the in-room coffee and the newspaper. If you have a car there is a $9.00 daily parking fee.

We paid extra to park each day. There are also taxes added to the room fee. No extra charge for the coffee etc. We emptied the mini bar and put our own stuff in. I asked before I did it. No charge either.

We had storms both Fri and Sat night. On Sat Ds and myself were on Thunder mtn. When we got in line in was nice . We were only in the fastpass line for maybe 10 min. The rain must have started just when we got on. When the ride goes outside it felt like hail hitting us and we got soaked. It sure was a wild ride. They shut it down after that. (too much lightning).
Those were the only times we had bad weather. We were there from the 19-26th.

We were there from Augl. 11 to 23 so we just missed the bad weather.


That happened to us last year on Thunder Mt! Perfect weather going in and massive storm coming out. It's like "what the heck!"

Believe it or not, this year nobody got wet on Splash Mountain but we got soaked on Pirates...go figure! The four of us were in the first seat and who knows but the water caming pouring in

This is our 2nd stay at the Dolphin. Our first time was Sept 17th 2001.
This was just after 9/11 and the hotel was pretty empty. Actually sort of creepily quiet. We did get an upgrade then also. I think they were just happy to have guests. We got a nice epcot view.
I liked this time much better. The beds were Great!!, I like the decor much better now.
I also liked our room location much better. Our last time I remember having a long walk to the elevators from our room, and a very long walk to get to the pool. Our more central location was much better. Closer to pool, Transportation and restaurants , laundry etc.

I had a suite at the Swan and we had the east wing which is the Epcot view. I just love opening my blinds to Spaceship Earth and it's the last thing I see when going to bed at night. Really enjoyed watching Illuminations from the balcony and we could also see Wishes at the MK.

I just wish the Swan would get their own laundry room. It was pretty tough bringing the laundry over to the Dolphin but DH did that for me.
