We booked a 1 bedroom standard view, but got a view of the Swan/Dolphin , water, & tower of terror instead. I guess cause they are rehabbing the standards by the entrance. Incredible view! My dd9 bought her friend, age 10, the girls had a ball and behaved beautifully. They really enjoyed the community hall after their afternoon swim. Fantasmic dinner package at momma melrose was an unexpected highlight. Wow it was good. Only downer was today before we left, we had lunch at big river brewery or whatever its called, right there on the bw...two men were "making out" repeatedly throughout their lunch. I don't think it is appropriate of anyone of any sex to "make out "in a restaurant. I can see where people get a bad attitude about the approaching gay days if this is the behavior they observe. It was all my husband could do not to walk over and tell them to "get a room" It didn't really bother me, the girls were facing away from them...but it did seem as though they were putting on a show!

I agree with you ez.

I would have talked to the CM manager on duty and let them handle it discretly. I don't care if it is the Big River Brewery it is still a family place with kids around. Male , female I don't care.

I hate very blatant PDAs , whether it is same-sex or opposite sex couples.

Wasn't this past weekend the big Gay party weekend/week ? I've seen past threads talk about large groups of men getting very "romantic" in the pool and hot tub at OKW during the annual event.

Of course, had another guest or CM asked them to be a little more discrete or considerate of others, the next days headlines in the O Sentinal would have been "GAY BASHING AT DISNEY".

I would have spoken to a CM or duty manager. That way they could have spoken to the couple without it reflecting badly on you.

Glad you had a good time.

Just wondering...if it had been reported to a CM, would they have done anything? If these guys were just kissing (and not groping), I'm not sure the CM would have/could have done anything about it.

Gay Week at WDW is June 3-9....but the main events are this weekend.

My guess is that if the two guys were "only" kissing, the CM would have said that there was nothing he/she could do. Just my opinion.

CM's will rarely,if ever, approach someone where the possibility for a "scene" could erupt. Ever see a CM confront a line jumper ?

What was I thinking you are right about the CM not confronting unpleasant situations. We had taken a DC and my kids were so excited about the Oceaneers club until my son was hit in the headpretty hard by another child who wanted the computer he had just gotten on and my daughter was pushed that they refused to go back. I went with my husband to ask what the policy on behavior was and explained the events and we were told that they try to "avoid" it as we wouldn't want anyone to have a bad vacation.
