What a wonderful(well, Magical I guess is better to say) time. We LOVED our rooms on deck 5 and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. It was so convenient to walk up or down to what ever we wanted, although the elevators were never crowded or having long waits. I met Garyss7 and Sandra, but absentmindly forgot to go to Scoops after the safety drill. Hope you all had a good meeting. We rebooked while on board for what we hope is the kids spring break week, but we don't have the schedule yet, so who knows.
My son in the 10-12 group wasn't crazy about the lab activities, but still did a fair number of events. He'll be 13 when we return and will probably like Common Grounds alot. The younger 2 loved the lab and had a good time. They went to specific activities, but never just went to stay.
We found there is just no way to do it all, and you'd have a miserable time trying. We never set foot in the Beat Street area at night, I never got into the Quiet Cove pool and unfortunately I never got to see Serenity Bay. But we had so much fun doing things together. We also did the Palo brunch....wonderful. A must do event.
Best tips were clothes pins, ordering a pot of coffee at night for a cup early before everyone else woke up. (it really DOES stay hot!) Didn't take an extension cord and can't imagine why I would have needed one. I took the over the door shoe hanger but never got it out of the suitcase. There are shelves in the bathrooms, both in the corner and under the sinks. That won't go next time.
At the disembarkation talk they said customs requirements had changed that very week. I couldn't see what the new items were, but I have the sheet if anyone is interested.
