We just got back from a 10-night stay. We stayed at POR in Oka Manor. Really like this resort.
We went to all of the parks including BB, TL, & DQ. Also went to Pleasure Island twice (did the Comedy Warehouse twice) and DQ several times. It was very hot while we were there, 96 most of the time. It rained a couple of evenings for a little bit, but for the most part it just thundered and lightning in the late afternoons and we didn't get much rain. It would help to cool things off in the late afternoon and evening when the clouds rolled in.
The parks were very crowded. In fact they closed down both water parks a couple of times while we were there to everyone. If you're going to the water parks make sure to get there when they open in order to get a good spot in the shade. When we went to TL while in the wave pool after one of the waves came by, a boy of about 12 or 13 shot up out of the water and hit me in the lip with his head. Had to go to first aid for an ice pack and some Tylenol after about a half hour because it was still hurting a lot. My lip was very swollen and purple. Went on one of the tube slides after about an hour or so and it about killed my neck every time I hit a little bump. I just thought it was a very bumpy slide. Didn't realize I had whiplash till the next day when I couldn't turn my neck. It took about a week for the swelling and bruising to go away. Also went to Shark's Reef for some snorkeling at TL.
We did E Ride nights on 6/23. MK closed at 11:00pm and we stayed until 2:00am. It was great. The Mountains were walk-ons. Rode SM twice in a row, also did BTMRR and BL twice in a row with no waiting. Peter Pan was the longest line with about a 20 minute wait.
BTW Wishes is awesome. First time we saw this as it was Fantasy in the Sky last June when we were there. Also really like Mickey's Philharmagic. Really a cute show. I think it is my new favorite 3D show now.
We ate at LeCellier (one of our faves), Tony's Town Square, Cinderella's Royal Table (lunch), Alfredo's, Mama Melrose, 50's Prime Time Cafe, Portobello Yacht Club, Cantina in Mexico, food court at POR, Cheesecake Factory in DQ, bakery in Norway and bakery in MK. Ate a couple of times offsite as we had to go to my BIL's wedding and rehearsal dinner. Had PS at Kona Cafe and Liberty Tree Tavern, but weren't able to make these reservations.
Went on Mission Space. Really like the blast off, but the rest of the ride was a little bit of a let down. I was afraid to ride this at first because of getting motion sickness, but it didn't bother anyone in our party. My DH didn't care for this that much. He likes TT much better.
All in all a great trip. Just didn't want to go home to reality, but we will be going back in December again and maybe in October also!! Now looking forward to planning our next trip!
