In case anyone has any questions, we just got from our wonderful 10 day vacation. We stayed at the new Embassy Suites on Harbour Blvd and spent 4 days at DL and 1 day at CA. My 3 yr old DS had a blast! The weather was a little chilly (although nothing like what we came home too!) but we hardly had to wait in any lines (maybe 10 minutes at most but usually substantially less). I thought the parks and Downtown Disney were beautiful. This was by far the best vacation I've ever had. I couldn't have asked for a better place to spend 10 days with my family (being that my DH and I both have very busy full time jobs it was a joy to have all that time with our little one who had the time of his life). I'll try and post a trip report sometime but in the interim if anyone would like to know anything please feel free to ask. The only bad experience we had was with the Super Shuttle (both to our hotel and back to the airport). I'll never use them again. Other than that, everything was great.

<font color=navy>Hi Kim,

I'm glad to hear that the worst thing on your vacay was the shuttle.

Ten days of fun with the family... now how cool is that! :sunny:

I'd love to hear more about the hotel. This is the one at 11767 Harbor, right? We're booked there next March. How were the rooms and the hotel in general? Any recommendations for special room requests? We're staying in a King suite. How about the pool? It's outdoor, right? Was it heated, and could you swim now, or was it too cool? Did the hotel provide transportation to DL? If so, how was it? We have a rental car reserved right now and I'm trying to decide if it's necessary. We're planning an 8 day trip. If you didn't have a rental car, what did you do on the days you weren't at DL & DCA. Do you know if there was a grocery store close by? I know this is quite a few questions, and I really do appreciate any information you'd like to share. Sounds like you had a wonderful time. We had an 11 day trip to DisneyWorld in Orlando last month, and I'm ready to do Disney again!

How busy was the park??? How were the x-mas shows/decorations??? Did you go to Universal Hollywood or Knotts Berry Farm???

I thought it looked like there were a lot of people in DL but we hardly ever had to wait to get on anything so I guess it really couldn't have been that crowded. I think we had to wait about 15 minutes for Peter Pan one day and maybe 10-15 for Gadget's Go Coaster on one day otherwise the waits were probably under 10 minutes most times.

I thought the X-mas decorations were lovely, especially It's A Small World. The trees in Downtown Disney were also really pretty. The HM makeover is wonderful.

No we didn't go anywhere else but Disney. Maybe next time. We vowed to make this a relaxing and enjoyable vacation and just go with what made Stephen happy. We actually just stayed a couple of days in the hotel room because he was quite content to play with his new crayons and Playdough we had bought him at the Disney Store. It seemed to keep in a good mood when he had this time to recuperate from all the excitement from the parks.
