Just back-First trip Home BCV

Hi we just returned from our first trip home and it was great. I went into this trip a little worried after all the slamming that BCV have taken lately. I'm glad to report that it was all great. We arrived an hour late due to flight delays, at 2:30 pm, but they were able to assign us a room right away. We had to wait to get in due to the room not being done yet. We were in by 3:15. The room was great. We had an EPCOT Globe view that was beautiful and the room was very quiet. We were in a studio room #544. It was a lockoff on room 546. When I reserved I only requested 2 things NS, due to severe asthma, and any view of Epcot if possible. The room was everyhting I could have wanted.

We had one problem, the last people to use the room must have cranked on the faucets in the bathroom and they broke both handles. I called maintenance because the floor was wet and we couldn't see a leak. We then turned on the faucet and found the problem. They were in the room at ten the next morning and finished by 11:30. I thought they were great.

I do see what people mean by garbage left in the hall, the couple in the room next to us kept leave food and garbage outside their door. After 3 days of the same half eaten fruit basket being in the hall I called HKeeping. They came and requested the people please throw out their own garbage in the future. After that we did not see anything. MAybe they were renters and did not realize.

Glad you had a great first trip home! I suspect you might be right about the garbage in the hall problem. Most folks who are used to hotels, are used to doing that with their garbage, and aren't aware that timeshares are a bit different. I am glad to hear the CM are informing them. This is one problem that should get better with time.

I think you did the right thing by calling housekeeping, we all own a part of this and we all want to see it taken care of. Way to go.

We made our first trip home this past May. My wife and I stayed in a 2 bedroom with the inlaws and we had a view of Epcot. No problems at all. However, we did see garbage left in the hall.

I am really surprised by all the comments about trash in the hallways. I have been to BCV several times and the only thing I noticed in the hallways were the housekeeping carts. I must have been lucky and had some good "neighbors" either that or I am oblivious. I will have to look a bit better next month. Ohhhhh, next month, that sounds soooo good.

We too have noticed the garbage in the halls (BWV) and after the first day, my husband just grabbed the bags and threw them in the garbage slots..... we never thought about calling housekeeping, we just wanted our home tidy. LOL
