Just back from a quick 3 days in the parks trip. (Dec. 20-22) We wore our fleece coats almost all day. It was busy but not horrible. First day we went to MK then Epcot at night. Wanted to see Illuminations but it was at 9:30 and kids were too tired. The next day was Epcot then MK at night. Didn't watch any parades, we went on rides during the parades. Haunted Mansion was hard for us to get on. We don't like to wait in line for more than 20 minutes-the line was always 45 minutes or longer. We ate dinner at Columbia Harbour House and when we came out the wait was 25 minutes so we got in line. We really miss the FP's for that ride. (we don't wait long because the kids are still young and they get whiny). It was dark so the kids actually liked standing in the "spooky" line! The next day was AK in the morning-we rode the safari; went to Dinoland and me and DD rode Dinosaur. Oh and finally saw Devine!! She is so cool!! Then we went to MGM. We did The Great Movie Ride, Indiana Jones SS and Lights!Motor!Action!. We ate at Pizza Planet which the kids usually love, but they (and my DH) thought the pizza was different than it used to be. I was so happy to eat something other than chicken and fries I didn't care! Then we went to Fantasmic--as always, it was great.

We stayed at POP. We were in the 80's section ground floor. We never heard anything (except maybe the occasional door slam). I was worried we would be hearing people coming to their room at all hours of the night but we didn't.

Only one bad thing happened to us--we were waiting for the bus on our 2nd night to go back to the room. We are standing in line and all the sudden I hear what sounds like somebody spilling their drink on the ground. Then my daughter grabs me and I turn around and the girl (poor thing) behind us was throwing up! Yuck yuck yuck!! It splattered me and my daughters pants. Gross. It was all I could do not to throw up also!

We had a great trip-I think this is the 1st time we've been there when it didn't rain! Merry Christmas!!

The frist time we saw her (or him) in AK, we just watched forever. It was like poetry in motion as it suddenly appeared from the side of the walkway. I think I was more frightened my some of the coster rides because I wasn't expecting it. Definitely something diffferent for a park; super idea and great way to include in the theming of DAK.

It is person costumed to fit in with the surrounding nature: trees, leaves, bark and especially vines. They are usually on stilts which adds to the feeling because of the greater size and impact. They tend to hide in the flora next to a sidewalk and "magically" appear to amaze passing guest. While they are hidden, it very difficult to pick them out of the scenery, but when they do appear is amazing how "natural" they appear.

Definitely one of the hidden best in DAK.

What is Devine?

Hi,
Here is pic my wife took of DeVine. DeVine was
coming out of backstage and posed for my wife to
take the pic. It was cool.

Good Luck

Sounds like you had a fun and fast trip

I agree with all the others, Devine is really cool. We got to see her last year and again this year at AK. I also agree she can be a little creepy if she catches you off guard.

The many faces of Devine.

I saw Devine for the first time in October. Way Cool. There were so many folks surrounding him/her that I could only get a picture with strangers in it too. Finding Devine was on my list of things to try to do this trip,

I too love watching DeVine. She is so graceful! :cheer2:

We could not find her this trip but we did get to see Wes Palm on morning wheil waiting for AK to open. It was fun to watch too and we never could find the "real" person. :earseek:

We looked and looked for "Push"! I talked to every garbage can in MK around Tomorrowland and Fantasyland and no luck! :rotfl2:

I missed her this year. Hopefully we can catch her next year. :wizard:

I'm glad you got to see her. I spent our day in AK staring at the shrubbery hoping to see it move or see a face. My kids thought I'd lost my mind! We didn't get to see her though.

Like poetry in motion....what a lovely and apt description of Devine! We've seen her a few time and are always in awe of the way she fluidly glides across the pathways and tries to hide her face like a shy child.

"Why couldn't you use the fast pass? Tina"

Are you talking about Haunted Mansion? The FP machines were closed every time we looked so I finally asked a CM about it and she said they haven't had FP for HM since summer. They are getting rid of the machines soon.
