We're back from a 5 day trip (Mar 20-24). We were a group of three adults. We booked our FP+ reservations right at the 60 day mark.
We were happy with our choices and didn't have any trouble using our Magic Bands for them. We started each day with an early FP (sometimes riding the first ride standby first). For example, we were at EE in AK by 8:00 am on 3/21. Rode EE standby twice and then went to Dinasaur and back to EE before our 9:10 FP reservation. After finishing AK by about 1:00 pm, we went to Downtown Disney for a bit of shopping and then went to MK. We arrived at MK about 6:00 and were able to get our 4th FP for Jungle Cruise. We ended up getting two more FPs (Space Mountain and Peter Pan) that night. This was on a really busy spring break Saturday.
Looking back, I think I'd skip the FPs for AK and just make them for our second park (as long as I was willing to be at AK when it opened and also willing to do a bit of extra walking).
One hint that we didn't know before we got there was that when you use the FP+ Kiosks in the park, use your fingernail to make your selections - it works much better.
Just thought I'd give the group my perspective - let me know if you have any questions.
