This was my second visit to DLP - first was about 7 years ago. I noticed MUCH improvement in the overall maintenance in the park this time. Although lots of broken lights on MS and need for garbage cans at Big Thunder. The park is just GORGEOUS! I love WDW, but the smallness of the MK is just wonderful! At the studios though, it seems there is no rhyme nor reason to traffic flow between attractions. I think most rides at DLP are better than the their counterparts at WDW (POTC, Space Mtn come to mind) Everywhere the attitudes of the CM's were very friendly and really worked to see that we had a good time! Didn't run into a 'Grumpy' anywhere.
Castle Club was wonderful! The CM's could not have been better! They really hustled and tried ever so hard to please. Really top notch!!
In short, we loved our stay and hope to go again sometime.

Thank you for your letting us know what you think about "our" DL!

Why don't you write a TR or give us at least some pictures of the CC! :woohoo:

Thank you and please wright a little bit about all your experiences.
The staff of the CC really work small wonders for you I agree.

Don't have the slightest idea of HOW to send pictures -so sorry. But here is some of our trip details.
Arrived at hotel and were immediately taken to CC to ck in. Room not ready but they gave us our passes and we headed for the MK. First ride (request of 9 yr old) was SM. Having the good sense of a 67 yr old I declined and let my daughter (age 42) be her companion. As they came out my gr-daughter said it was GREAT and laughed - daughter rated it as 'puking fast' (sorry!) I said good for both of them!! Headed for Buzz Lightyear and I actually beat the 9 yr old. (high point for me) We next went to POTC but couldn't find Jack Swallow! Told he wasn't there. The ride though is longer and 10 x's better than Florida. We then went to the Blue Bayou for lunch (great on churning stomachs). Food was excellent, but had a few glitches. My daughter ordered a 3 course meal - received 2, we were billed for 3 but it was adjusted when brought to their attention. I ordered a starter which I never got (didn't need it anyway). The hamburger in the childs menu (under age 14) was HUGE!!! I swear it was 1/2 lb or more of meat! Way too much for most children and adults couldn't order it. Loved the restaurant and the food that we did have. We then went to Indiana Jones (dumb me - I went on the thing and I HATE roller coasters). Scared the daylights out of me - the other 2 loved it. Didn't that thing used to go backwards? Back to hotel and room was ready - gorgeous! Huge bath, huge room, very clean - loved it!
For dinner we went to Buffalo Bills - wouldn't do it again. Food was awful and entertainment very so so. Walked around DD for awhile then back to MK for Phanton Manor (had to go at night you know! again a super ride, but I like the graveyard at WDW better as well as the approach to the bldg) then we stayed for the parade and fireworks. Great! Floats and lights were beautiful! I prefer the Florida music but the parade here seemed longer. As crowded as it was, it certainly wasn't over the top like WDW! Nobody pushing shoving - very courteous - had a great time!
Day 2
Back to MK. Saw the Nautilus/Under the sea thing, rode on Small World. What a beauty that is! Thank goodness they rehabbed the one in WDW or it wouldn't come close to competing with this one! The colors were vibrant - every doll worked. Very nice time. Chased granddaughter around the Labyrinth (which she thought was great), went on the storybook cruise and the Casey Jr. Next was Peter Pan which is always wonderful.
Lunch was at the hotel - Innoventions I think. HUGE buffet with everything you could possibly think of - very very nice. We then made tracks for the Movie Studio. Sat thru Cinemamagique and really loved it! Granddaughter said 'how did they do that, grandma?' Then on to RNRC - (no - I passed again on this one, but they went on it twice!) Both loved it but said they couldn't hear much Aerosmith music, don't know if that is normal or not. We then saw ARMEGEDON special effects - it is AWESOME! Catastrophe Canyon was over with way to quickly! Didn't have the 'build up' of anticipation but otherwise very much like the Florida version. Biggest criticism here is of the traffic flow/pattern (or lack of). Really needs some definition of some sort.
Dinner was at the California Grill. Defintely 5 star dining and service - would recommend to ANYONE!!!!
Re CC Lounge. It seemed more like a restaurant/lounge complete with servers. They have a full bar menu (charge for) available as well as the food items. It is also a great place to watch the fireworks and very few people there. Wishes had so many gorgeous images imposed on the castle! We don't see anything like that in Florida.
Be glad to answer any questions for anyone. Yes, I hope to see it again. It was very worthwhile and very enjoyable. Super convenient to get around and a whole bunch of plusses. The park itself just 'feels' solid and good, and the castle is beautiful beyond belief. If I lived nearby, I would definitely be an Annual Pass person!

I really liked your report, I am a WDW person as well also DVC member. :thumbsup2
I am planning on going to DLP June of Next year with my family, 6 of us. I am very interested in the Castle Club. How would you rate it? Did you get any special VIP Fastpasses?

sounds like you had a great time,my 9yr old DD was only about 2inchs to short for Space mountain and indianna jones ,she was upset (me not so!!!) everyone says about the cm,s beem grumpy if fact at indiana jones a cm saw my DD was upset about been to small and gave her stickers and talked to us for ages a real nice young man!

brilliant report i just can`t wait till march now!on the note of cm`s being un-grumpty it reminded me of when we came off pm my dd(9)was terrified and crying as she didn`t like it and then someone had taken our hired buggy so we were sent to city hall to get a replacement voucher and while in there one of the lady cm`s said to my dd why was she so sad and i explained to which she took her aside and gave her a dlp poster type a4 sheet with the logo and all the princess`s had signed it ,it made her day!!

The CC was very very nice. The rooms were the same as the other regular rooms in the wings, but the added 'perqs' made it exceptional. Yes, we did get park hoppers for length of stay as well as VIP fastpasses. Although the fastpasses are great, there are only 6 rides in the MK and 1 at the studio, so they aren't as required as they would have been in Florida. Even at the busy lines, the wait was never what I had been used to at WDW. It is so cool though to take the 'private' elevator down to park level and just magically appear at the turnstiles! Loved this!! Room rates also included the CC lounge breakfast. The one criticism I would have is that the price is very very high to us Yanks!! This is where the difference between the $, pound, and euros is quite noticeable!!
