Just got back from WDW on Sat 2/23 here is our dining reviews. It was a great food week!
Sat 2/16 (party of 4) Yachtsman Steakhouse
We always eat here on our first night at WDW
App. DS had the Chilled Seafood Salad was very good, I tasted the lemon creme fraiche which I really liked.
Entrees: Filet Mignon, NY Strip, Rib Eye, sauteed mushrooms and the brussel sprouts with bacon butter. Everyone loved their meals.
Dessert: Creme Brulee - great, vanilla gelato - good, sherbert trio with consisted of cassis, strawberry/kiwi, and lemon basil flavors. We all had a fav. mine was the lemon basil, DH loved the cassis I liked it too, but it was a strong flavor and I could only take it in small doses.
The waiter was great and gave us good wine choices.
Sun. 2/17 (party of 4) Boma
First time we ate here and we loved it. Some of our favorites were: Potatoes with Afritude, Mango viniagrette, Durban Spiced Chicken, Wood Roasted Prime Rib, Nut Crusted Salmon, Couscous Marrakesh, Veg. Lentil kofta, zebra domes, and there was a strange cake like dessert I don't remember its name but it was very good. Our waiter was great with the drinks and very friendly.
Mon. 2/18 (party of 7) Narcoosees
Second time for us and the first for our friends
App.: Prince Edward Island Mussels Our friend and one of my DS's loved these. DS had them before and has been comparing to them ever since, our friend said its the best or at least one of the best he has ever had and wished he made them an entree (after someone who was leaving the same time we did said that's what he did). Other DS really liked the crab cakes.
Entrees: Surf and Turf, very good. Filet Mignon, very good. Grilled Salmon, my friend really loved this, Herb Crusted Lamb Loin my friends DD really liked it. and the Tile fish which our friend said was good but not great.
Our waiter was good, nothing special, but nothing to complain about.
We were all too full for dessert.
Tue. 2/19 (party of 7) Bluezoo
First time trying for all of us
App: Littleneck clams flatbread - very good. Olive's Classico Flatbread _ was really awful, tasted like frozen cardboard pizza.
Entrees: Lobster Fidelini - very good, Striped bass block - good, Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass - good, Swordfish block - very good, King Salmon Block - very good, but not as good as Narcoosees salmon.
Our waitress was just OK. She didn't really explain the menu items well. When we asked further question we got a totally different description of the items. We all like our meals they were very good, but we all agreed that for the price there wasn't anyting special and we probably wouldn't go back.
Wed. 2/20 (party of 4 ) Fulton's Crab House
OUr first time trying. (Our friends love the Outback restaurant (not the Outback Chain) in the Buena Vista Palace so they went there, I don't know anything about what they got, but they said they had a fabulous meal as always)
App: - Blue Crab Cakes - very good. Stone Crabs - excellent
Entrees: we all got the Alaska King Crab Claws and Austrailian Lobster Tail which was excellent.
We had the best waiter we ever had in WDW, his name was Wayne and we went out of our way to let them know at guest services.
Thu. 2/21
We just sort of ate our way around Epcot's countries getting things from counter service. The only thing we didn't like that much, but ate it all anyway between the 7 of us was the fried rice from china's Lotus blossom cafe. (Earlier in the week we had the Chicken fried rice from AK's counter service Yak and Yeti Local food cafe and it was very good).
Fri. 2/21 (party of 8) Shulas
Our friends son drove down from FSU to join us tonight. We all come here once a trip.
App:BBQ Shrimp stuffed with basil - excellent, Lobster bisque - very good.
Entrees: Filet Mignon - excellent, Cowboy Steak (ribeye) _ excellent, Kansas City Strip - excellent. We shared sides of Asparagus spears, sauteed onions, and the potato pancake which was excellent too.
Dessert: 2 Chocolate Souffles which 7 of us shared - very good. and DS had a pizza sized creme brulee which he finished off himself and he said it was excellent.
Our waiter was just OK, we have had better here. We knew you had to order the chocolate souffle when we ordered dinner because it takes a long time to prepare. He never told us about it. But we all love Shula's and it was great as usual.
And believe it or not after all that we went to B&C's and ordered the Kitchen Sink which we almost, but not quited finished. (Mainly because we had a very hungry college student joining us tonight! LOL!!)
