What a great trip! Myself, DH, DDs Ages 8 & 4. We had a blast. Boy was it hot! We had some great meals. I'll try to be brief.

We had dinner at the Crystal Palace the first night. This was new for us, only had breakfast here before. The food was excellent. They were carving Prime Rib and Turkey and has pastas, salads, pulled pork, pizza, and lots of other stuff. Everything was fresh and delicious. Deserts were plenty, ice cream, cheesecake, tirimisu, cookies, brownies, etc... Character interaction was also great.

Day 2 We had dinner at Epcot's Garden Grill. Another great meal. The food was very good and they left out the fish, per our request. The service was a little slow but it was crowded. Desert again was awesome, little samples of cheesecake, lemon tart, pecan something...can't remember them all but they were very good. Also good character interaction.

Day 3 we had the Princess Storybook breakfast at Norway in Epcot. Another good meal. The service wasn't great. We asked for more bacon and cheesy potatoes and never got it (which is probably for the best!). The way they seat you now in groups works out well. All the princesses came around right away and then we ate. I din't buy the picture which seemed to annoy the girl who brought it over, but I knew I had already paid for the picture included with Cinderella's Royal Table breakfast (on Day 5). We had dinner on Day 3 at Mama Melrose. This is one of our favorites as well and didn't disappointed. We had chicken parm, the kids had plain pasta with grated cheese. We also shared a caesar salad and the appetizer caprino cheese was really awesome. Our waitress was great, we remembered her from a previous trip. We all had a scoop of ice cream for desert.

Day 4 we had dinner at Nine Dragons in Epcot (China). It was good. We had wonton soup, Pepper Steak, General's Chicken. Everything was good. The kids enjoyed eating with the chopsticks. The waitress wasn't very friendly here but the meal was o.k.

Day 5 we had breakfast at the castle, Cinderella's Royal Table. I was shocked at how empty it was. It was us and one other family waiting downstiars for Cinderella. Other people came in after but it wasn't as mobbed as usual when I've been there. We took the picture with Cinderella downstairs and then headed up and saw Belle, Snow White ,Fairy Godmother and Aurora. They gave the girls magic wands and little light up stars. We had our food and then the princesses all came around. It worked out really well. Hadn't been to this one in a few years and it was better than last time. Also, since I prepaid the breakfast and photo package when I booked, I asked our server about the DDE discount and he took my card and gave me a gift card for $15 and change for my discount. I thought that was pretty nice! Dinner on this day was Liberty Tree Tavern. Another favorite. We enjoyed the dinner. The character interaction was the best of the week. Chip kept tying Pluto's tail into knots and then hiding behind our table and Minnie and Pluto were also running around together. Goofy came around several times and danced with DDs. Very nice meal.

On our last day we just ordered room service while we packed up. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. I'm not even that depressed that its over since we are going back in 4 months. (I'm almost embarrased to say!) But I'm already planning my dining based on what we missed out on this trip! Thanks for listening!

Just wanted to note one more thing. We saved $107.56 with the DDE card. We already used it last November and saved over $200 and will be using it again in October, talk about paying for itself! Just wanted to let everyone know!

Can you tell me about room service? Where were you staying? How was the food? popcorn::

Thanks for your reviews. I love DDE - it has more than paid for itself for us. :)

PolyAddict -- we were staying at the Boardwalk Villas. We just ordered simple things, a cheeseburger with potato chips, a wrap sandwhich with fries, a kids hot dog with fries and some chicken soup for my other daughter. Everything was pretty good. My daughter didn't like the soup very much but everything else was pretty good and nice and hot. I haven't ever ordered any real "entrees" from room service so I'm not sure if that's good too.

Little slow here - What is DDE?

You won't believe this but we were there for both meals that day as well. :rotfl: We were also surprised at how few people were there at breakfast--we were expecting a huge crowd but it seemed like we were one of the first to be seated.

What did you think of the thunderstorm? Took us forever to get into LTT because of it! My kids thought that Chip was being too mean to Pluto--they untied Pluto's tail for him at one point. :rotfl:

Disney's Dining Experience card, which is available for passholders, FL residents & I think DVC now too? It gives a 20% discount at table service restaurants & a couple counter service places at the resorts, if I remember correctly abot the resorts---going off the top of my head here.

Brianne, I can't believe we were at the same two places on the same day. Yes, that thunderstorm was unbelievable. We were in the restaurant the entire time. The first big boom of thunder made us jump and then to watch the downpour, we were sitting right by the window watching people get drenched! Chip tied Pluto's tail in a knot when he was at the table next to us andthen hid on the floor behind our table. My 4-yr old jumped on his back! My husband told Chip he was gonna rat out his hiding place to Pluto. It was fun.

Tinkerbell girl -- I can't help too much with the pastas. There was just one hot pasta dish with a cream sauce on the hot buffet, but there were a bunch on the cold salad bar and my husband really liked one of them. I'll ask him if he remembers what it was called.

Hello
I would like to know which princesses were at PSB breakfast. We have and ADR there in September. Thanks

kaysmommie -- the princesses at the Norway Princess Storybook breakfast...Belle in her gold dress is in the lobby to take a portrait, then once seated, Mulan, Snow White, Aurora and Jasmine came to the tables. Have a great time!
