My DH just returned from a 7 night stay in the world, three nights of which were using the dining plan. We ate at the following:
Evening One- O'Hana at the Polynesian. Always a favorite to do the first night, I have no complaints about the food. I think I like the way they use to serve the appetizers better, but everything was very good. My only complaint was the service. The food came out way too fast. We were done everything within an hour. I know it is a very popular restaurant but we were definitely rushed.
Evening Two- Le Cellier at the Canadian Pavillion in Epcot. The best meal of the whole trip. The whole meal was incredible. We did have to wait 30 minutes past our reservation time, but we were told that when we checked in so we walked to the UK pavillion and had a beer. Our server was attentive, but not pushy. It had to be one of the best steaks I have ever had. Done to perfection. I had mussels for an appetizer and were did the signature dessert sampler as our combined dessert. I would highly reccommend Le Cellier to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience while at Epcot
Evening Three- Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge. We wanted to try this African buffet because of how many positive comments I have read both here and on other websites. It was OK. I do not think I will go out of my way to eat there again. I felt like we were eating "Africanized" American dishes that were created with a little spices thrown in. Desserts were wonderful, but not worth going to buffet for. The pork spareribs were so greasy we couldn't eat them. Service was excellent and the buffet was well stocked at all times, just not for me. By the way, using Disney wonderful bus transportation, it took almost TWO HOURS to go from POR to AKL. (IN THE RAIN)
No problems using the Dining Plan. I was glad we only had it for part of our stay as I could never eat that much food for a whole 7 night stay.
Any question-please ask.
