And...
the 27 pounds I lost before my trip really made a difference. I was 27 lbs lighter from my trip last December and I really felt the difference. It was easier going through the turnstiles, the lap bars did not fit so tightly and I had no problems with the seat belts in Test Track, Dinosaur and Tower of Tower.
The walking I have done was helpful too. I did not get tired, my legs and my feet did not get sore, what a wonderful experience.
I walked all around at the POR, I even walked from MGM to the Swan and the Dolphin one afternoon. In the parks I was able to keep up a good pace, even in Epcot.
I have to admit that I did cheat on my diet (trying to do low carb) I had a caramel apple from the MK, I went to an Illuminations dessert party and I had a steak sandwich from the Plaza restaurant. But no french fries, and after the steak sandwich no bread. If I ate chicken strips I took off the breading and when I had a burger I did not eat the roll. The food court at the POR had some nice salads and a few nights for a snack I got some celery and carrott sticks there. So all in all I did pretty well, you can not be on vacation without having some goodies.
Now I really am on track to keep on losing, hopefully 50 more pounds by my trip next July.
...
I just want to tell everyone not to get discouraged, especially those of us that have a lot of weight to lose. You can still have a good time on vacation, eat a few things that you would not at home and not gain weight. Just the fact that I felt so good on this trip makes it worth while.
