Just back from our 5th stay @ CSR. Until now, we've never been disappointed with any aspect of this resort... However, this time mousekeeping wasn't up to par. We didn't have our room cleaned for the 1st 3 days due to the late hour the mousekeeper arrived every day. My DD is recovering from a bad case of bronchitis & needed to rest during the heat of the day. After day 1, I asked her to arrive early (before 2pm), & she said she would, but the next day it was even later. Therefore, I called housekeeping & asked if my room could be cleaned by noon on day 3 (it hadn't been cleaned yet & we were okay with that) - they assured me it would be - NOT! Finally, after getting a manager involved (1st time ever in 22 trips to the world), our room was cleaned at 4:30pm on day 3, & by noon on day 4. It's just the 2 of us, & we're very neat, so all we needed was some more tp & fresh hand towels. I picked up the sunflower seeds left all over the floor by the guests before us (yuck!). We never got the extra tp, so we had to use it sparingly...
The lines at the Pepper Market were ridiculous in the evenings - backed all the way to the arcade at least 2 nights of our 5 night stay. Lots of convention people were spread out all over the resort - I felt sorry for those who had fancy evening events & had to walk in formal wear long distances to the convention center, as many were seniors, & I wouldn't want my parents having to do it. Otherwise, the buses were very efficient & never too full, & the Dig site always had lounge chairs available. I really like being able to fill my mug at the pool. We had a top floor, corner room in the Ranchos 6330 (standard) - partial landscape view & quiet. It was close to bus stop 3 & the Dig Site, but a hike to El Centro. Questions?
