Well, great stay as usual! Jackie will be back this week YEA! our family really missed her::yes::

Sorry to report there are no small bottles of water anymore, and they know that other concierge services are now offering beer but they aren't. CM's suggested complaining about the lack of both as that does seem to get results more than them telling management what guests want:confused:

Food in the lounge was plentiful except for one morning without cream cheese for bagles and fresh fruit as well. They said their order hadn't been filled, didn't understand that so we just suffered through it and had the chocolate croissants instead;)

Room was fine, great view! Had to call to get some burned out light bulbs replaced, no big deal.

Bus service was also good, and we only shared bus service with the YC/BC nice change.

Christmas at the world is always unbelievable and I hope everyone had a great holiday!!

Any questions just ask:D

Welcome back and thanks for the review! :)

What floor were you on? Also, is there a designated keyed floor for concierge or is it just for the lounge? I'm trying to get a feel for whether most of the concirege rooms are on one floor or if they are scattered about. Thanks!

Welcome back. Glad you had a good trip. Just wondering how you know that you only shared buses witht he YC/BC?

Misti, except for the Garden Suites, all concerge rooms at the BWI are on a seperate, keyed access area of the 5th (I think) floor.

Anne

I would imagine she knew they only shared buses w/the Y&B club, because they did not make stops at the Swan & Dolphin....

When I was at WDW Nov/Dec, during busy times of the day and after MVMCP, they also had separate buses for the S/D, it was nice since we were at the YC, the less stops, the better! :)

glad you had a nice time! :)

Misti,Right now the keyed entry to the area with the lounge(4th floor) and rooms is not operational because of a fire hazard, there should be a different door installed in the spring. Not all rooms are located in the keyed entry area there are some deluxe concierge rooms on the 3rd floor and regular rooms on the 4th just before the keyed entry door area that I know of for sure,as well as the garden suites Ducklite mentioned. I was on the 4th floor corner room above the bakery.

Tiffany, I know I shared buses with the YC/BC because those were the only stops we made on the way back from the MK, and I asked the bus driver when we boarded to the MK where he had stopped. I drove to AK so can't be sure about those stops, but most likely it stopped at BB as well.:D

I've only stayed at Poly concierge. What kind of food offereings do they have at night? Any hot food?? Do they have those wonderful desserts at night?

The food offerings at the Polynesian are definitely more diverse and plentiful than those at the BWI.

LvsTnk--Is this new? Because when we stayed there a few years ago, I was told that other than the Garden Suites all of the allocated concerge rooms were past the locked doors. Maybe they've had enough demand that they've had to take on extra rooms in other parts of the hotel? I knew not all the rooms on the floor that concierge was on were concierge, only the ones past the keyed access door.

And thanks for correcting me on the floor--I knew it was one of the upper floors, but wasn't sure it was the fifth.

Anne

Anne, as far as the deluxe rooms go those have always been on other floors and included in concierge. With the regular rooms I would say at least since last Sept. it would be new, it may have been just for the holiday. I have stayed in a regular room just before you get to those doors about 4 years ago and it wasn't included. Also, I PM'd you:D

With the food offerings the breakfast items are the same as the Polynesian. BWI has a tea that starts at 3pm with finger sandwiches, (seafood, roast beef, ham & cheese, cheese, and a tuna spread) rice krispies, and tarts, the chips, (pretzels, popcorn, goldfish, potato), hummus and cream cheese with toasts, gummies, and cookies are still left out from the 11:30 service. At 5pm they have cheeses, veggies and dip, pb&j, and one hot item with the cookies and rice krispie treats still left out. Nice variety of desserts at the evening offerings cakes, tarts, chocolate covered strawberries were a few. The 5pm offering at the Polynesian is definately better at the Polynesian, but the tea is a nice addition at the BWI. We were off to dinner most nights by 5 so I can only tell you a few of the hot items offered during our stay and they were beef taco's and spring rolls. I have always liked the desserts better at the BWI, fresher and more my taste JMHO.

Just for reference, we stay at the Polynesian for the 4th of July and at the BWI Sept. and Dec. Hope this helps, I would be happy to answer any more ?'s:D

This worked out much better for us since we seemed to be headed back out from our break we could just grab something and go. We never seemed to be around during the evening offering during this trip.:D

We were there the first week of February. I could swear we sat next to you and your family at Beaches and Cream! It was either you or your twin!:D
