We just arrived home yesterday.
We booked the new package for current guests only for next September. We were lucky to even find out about the deal. We received a slip about it with our bill at Chef Mickey's, otherwise we would have never known. It seems to me that they are not doing a good job about getting the word out. I bet that most guests on property have no idea about the deal.
Ours is as follows for 2 adults:
8/7 nights at ASMu (Sept. 26-Oct.3)
! day MYW tickets
DDP
Grand total: $793.00

Seemed like a great deal to us. We were on the DDP this trip and our food bill total was $847.00, so we saved $247.00 with the DDP this time. Next trip with free dining, should make our savings with this special package about 50%. It doesn't get much better than that!

! day MYW? How many days on the ticket? Could you have booked at any resort?

Doesn't sound good for free dining to be offered to us folks not making a trip now. They are even advertising at the dining locations? I bet they book the resort up so they will not need to offer to the rest of us. DAMN!

That could be a real possibility!

How did booking the package work. Did you phone a number, or go to a customer service desk. What info did they need from you to prove you were staying on site?? Could you have made more than one reservation if you wanted during that time period??

Could someone please post the phone # or extension to call? I will be there in 2 weeks for only 3 nights and don't want to miss my chance to book.

Thanks

oh great, Now I have to go to disney in the next month or two, just so I can book the vacation I want in sept. If I put on a really sad face do you think my dh will believe I'm upset about having to fly down for the weekend? :moped: :moped: :moped: :moped:

The phone number cannot be posted because some people will take advantange and try to book it without really being at Disney. When you are at Disney if you don't get a notice about it ask the front desk and they will give you the information

Also not sure by the way you wrote it, but how many days tickets? Is it just one day?

We were at BC for 6 days and not once did I see anything about booking in Sept. I wonder if I could still do it now that I am home? Who would I call? :confused3

We were at WDW Nov 8-14th and had dinner a Chef Mickeys on the 8th and we didn't know anything about this deal until today. We stayed at the AKL and had 2 rooms booked and we had no idea that there was any kind of deal that we could have booked while there. This makes me wonder how people who were there during the same time knew about this deal other than Chef Mickeys letting them know?Did anyone find out besides Chef Mickeys?I know that a few years ago they did a offer for a discounted package if you booked during your stay and people had envelopes either put under their room doors or hanging on the door handle. But,they did not offer it to every room,we were there after the offer had stopped and I asked at the front desk if they were offering anything like it while we were there and was told "no it had ended".If anyone got the deal this time, post how you got it.

We also ate at Chef Mickeys and never received anything about rebooking for aug/sept

is this offered only for the value resorts?

We're trying to book our next trip for Fall of '07 at our DVC resort, but want MIL/FIL to come with us and I'm thinking if we got them free dining they'd be more willing to come :teeth:

I was staying at the Yacht Club and received no information in the room. We only happened to see someone at the table and we had stopped to ask a question and he asked if we had heard about the rebooking special.

It sure seems like they have decided to use Free Dining as more of a special "perk" this year. I wonder if they will bother opening it up to the general public again or keep it to these special groups like they have so far.

I can't say that I blame them, it is just a bummer for the rest of us!

The book ahead offer just started Nov. 8. You must be staying on property during the time frame of Nov. 8 - end of Dec. and they WILL check to see if you are actually there and not calling in from home.

There are kiosks at 2 resorts, and just info cards at 2 others. Y&BC, Pop, Contemporary, and one other. The special is good at ANY resort. Minimum 3 nights, minimum 1 day MYW base tickets for everyone in the room. Aug. 5 - Sept. 29, 2007. The whole story is on All Ears, and there is also a link to the story on the DIS home page.

I got home last night. They certainly are not doing a bang up job informing the guests or CM's. We made several calls regarding our ressie & went through four people (WDW TRAVEL AGENTS no less) before we got a definitive answer to questions. If I had not read on boards I would have missed it.

out of curiousity I called a number given at another thread regarding the future stay program, the CM was extremely helpfull. He told me everthing there is to know about this package and that it can only be booked if the guest is still staying at one of the many Disney resorts. :thumbsup2
