Just back from our first trip as AP holders. My sister and I treated our parents for Easter weekend for their anniversary.

We stayed at Coronado and centered our trip around Flower & Garden, as we have never been there since they started adding food booths.

Construction:
- There's a lot of it.
- It wasn't as noticeable at Coronado as we expected. We requested a room away from the construction and they put us in Casitas 4. Even by the lobby there was no sign of construction. The only time you notice it is during the drive in.
- Wilderness Lodge is under construction. A lot of rooms appear closed off, the construction is centered around the pool.
- DHS has a lot of walls up but honestly, it isn't as overwhelming as people make it out to be.

New Security:
- I appreciate the new security at MK. It's definitely more efficient and cuts down on the crowds at the front of the park.
- It is annoying for those who want to just go to Poly for a reservation or go resort hopping around MK. You must get checked after each resort and in order to access the monorails and boats.

Crowds:
- It was crowded on Saturday and Sunday but NOWHERE near Christmas (when we usually go).
- On Monday DHS was crowded, but EPCOT was pretty normal.
- On Tuesday MK was not crowded whatsoever. The wait times for Space Mountain remained around 35 minutes; 7DMT was under 60 minutes
- It was really eery noticing how empty Coronado was. We'd never been to a Disney resort when there was literally no one around.

Flower and Garden:
- Fun! All of the food was good, but nothing was "oh man, I've gotta get that again!"
- The topiaries were all gorgeous. It's amazing how detailed they were.

New Stuff:
- Geyser Point is really cool. It's gonna be a favorite for us, for sure. Food is good and you can't beat the location.
- The new MagicBand is cool. Didn't think i'd like it. Only downfall is the big ol' watch-shaped tan line I have now.

A New Approach:
- We didn't schedule any ADRs, outside of a Beaches and Cream ice cream reservation on Monday night. It was different. We relied on QS locations and skipped the meal plan. Maybe it was mental (taking the money out of our wallet) but it felt like we spent more than we do on the meal plan. Who knows.

Overall:
A fun trip. It was a nice change of pace to go during Easter. We got a really good price at Coronado ($187/night) and had to hop on it. I think we'd go back for Easter.. but honestly, nothing stood out the way it does during Christmas.... but we may be a bit biased.

Thanks for the report, especially on the construction at CSR, we'll be there in less than 3 weeks. Casitas 4 is our favorite building. I think the resort can be full and you just don't notice because of the size-we really like it there. Good to hear the crowds were ok for you, I'm hoping for the same when we go.

Thank you for the report. It sounds like you had a great time. I am going at the end of May and I know there will be a lot of construction around the property but I look at it as they are making it better for all of us. :)

Sounds like you had a great trip! I completely agree with what you said about the walls in DHS, they really aren't so bad
