Jomrog, my DBF's two children travelled with us, ages 11 (yoG) and 14 (yoB). We stayed in the Calypso building at ASMu. We stayed in building 1 with a room on the end facing the pool and very close to Melody Hall. And I can honestly say I have not one bad thing to say about the room, the resort or the CM's who work there. You will always hear that the rooms are small at the All Stars, I didn't find them constricting, and as well the only time we were in our room was when we were sleeping! I would go back there in a heartbeat. The transportation system is fantastic, the longest we waited for a bus was 15 minutes, and that only happend twice in the 11 days we were there!
When we toured the parks, the first couple of days we left early, usually there by 9:30 (early for us anyway!). We always took a break in the afternoon and went back to the resort for a rest and a swim. Once rested we headed back to the park for the evening. If you are staying on site, I definately recommend the mid afternoon break. The heat and the walking will make everyone tired and you will not enjoy your time there as much. And if possible break up your stay by visiting a waterpark. Visit the parks for a few days then head to a waterpark for a day. That day at the waterpark or a day at your resort will revitalize you and give you the energy for the rest of your vacation!
I hope this answers your questions!
