We just got back Friday evening after 9 days of pixie dust & magic.
We ususally go in the summer but this year was the hottest and most humid I could remember. On the news they did say that the last week in July is on average the hottest for the year. We only had rain twice: a brief shower on Saturday, 7/23 and heavy rain on 7/28 while we were in our room at the Beach Club.
There were some very large crowds and quite a few tour groups from Brazil. We avoided them most of the time since all those people getting in line at the same time really increased wait times.
Sunday we were in the MK and it was pretty quite there in the AM. We rode Splash Mountain three times with no wait (@ about 9:30am)
The longest line we waited in all week was 50 minutes for Space Mountain. It was very warm and humid in the queue so it felt like 500 minutes.
We were in The Land right before 9pm. The crowd really thinned out so there was only a 10 minute wait for Soarin' (absolutely loved that ride! We rode it twice after that using fast passes!)
We tried the Extra Magic Night at EPCOT. The lines got much longer after 9pm. We tried it again in MK and once again the lines were unbearable. (How I miss the E-Nights!) We won't be doing EMH in the pm again.
We did one Extra Magic Morning in MK and the crowds were the same as in years past.
We went on Mickey's Magical Milestones tour. There were only four of us in the tour group. It was very interesting and we had private time with Mickey and Donald!
We also did Cirque du Soleil. That was fabulous!
