:umbrella: What was the weather like? Did it rain every day?

How were the crowds? :crowded:

Where did you eat? :mickeybar

:) :)

The weather was great! It only rained twice where it interferred with our touring. Once while we were in Morrocco, it rained hard for about 45 minutes. We just went into the counter service restaurant (Tangierine Cafe) and order a couple of desserts and tried a piece of each. The other time was while we were in Japan. It rained for about an hour. We watched the Japanesse candy maker. It was very interesting and she made my son a candy dragon! There were many days it was overcast which was great because it was not hot. During the entire 10 days there were only about 3 times that I thought it was really hot. It was never hot at night.

Crowds.......Well, it was definitely more crowded than normal. My suggestion is to be there when the park opens. The morning extra hour really worked well for us. We were able to do ALOT by noon. If that park got crowded we just hopped to another one. The extra evening hour was a JOKE!!!!! I was VERY disappointed! WE tried to do the extra evening hour at Epcot. At 9:00pm they open up the fast pass lines again. We had to wait in line for about 15 minutes just to get a fast pass for Test Track. We used our pass immediately. By the time we finished riding Test Track 15 minutes later the line to ride using a fast pass was out the building and all the way under the monorail track. We gave up and left. It took about 45 minutes to get a bus back to the hotel. I really miss the E Nights. I would rather pay $10.00's a person and really get to ride the big rides over and over than to get nothing for free. Alot of people were complaining about the extra evening hours.
We used the reverse psychology approach.....if MGM had the extra hours on Monday we went there on Tuesday. This seemed to work pretty well. We talked to alot of guests that had either never been to Disney or had not been in years. The reason they said they chose this year was all of the advertisements for the Happiest Celebration on Earth.

I am going to post a dinning review in a day or two. We ate at 7 table service restaurants and about 6 counter service restuarants. The food was better than ever!
I hope this helps! If you have any more questions, please ask.

How was the Richard Petty Driving Experience? I am thinking of getting it for my husband as a surprise. If I do it, I'll only be able to afford the Rookie one (I think that's the $400 one?). I am nervous about the weather though because if it gets cancelled, we don't have another track near us. Any info you can give me would be great! I am really hoping I can do this for him, I know he'll love it! :earboy2: Thanks!!!!! :wave2:

Hi! My husband and I are heading to Orlando in July and were trying to decided how many days we needed in each park. We would like to go to Epcot, The Animal Kingdom and Universal. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks G

I gave my husband the Ride Along Experience and 1 extra night at PO Riverside for Father's Day. I was also concerned about the weather because we don't live near a track either. What I did was type up a coupon and tape it to a matchbox car. The coupon stated it was good for one Richard Petty Ride Along Experience. I just paid for it when I got there. If it rains at all, they cancel for the day. The first time my husband tried to do it, it began raining the minute we got in front of the van pick up. WE just went back in MK and did it the next day. My husband said it was the highlight of his trip and next year he definetely wants to drive! If you have an AP you get a discount. The Ride Along Exp. was $99.00 and I got it for $79.00 with my AP. I hope this helps, if you have any more questions, please ask. Hope you have a GREAT time!

They are very different resorts. Keep in mind we were at the Pop for 9 nights and the Riverside for only 1 night. The Riverside seemed to be a much quiter resort with a very laid back feeling. The Pop seems to be more high energy. We stayed in the Oak Manor section of Riverside. We liked the fact that we drove up to the front door of our room. It made unpacking the car so much easier. It was always so quiet around our Riverside room. I loved the woodsy feel to it. If you asked my 12 y/o Ds, he would tell you that he liked Pop better. I think the adults liked Riverside better. WE never ate at Riverside so I can not compare the food, although everytimewe ate at the Pop the portions were huge and the food was good. I liked the gift shop at the Pop alot more than Riverside. It was much bigger and had a better selection. The rooms at Riverside were bigger and much prettier. I liked the double sinks and the privacy curtain in the bathroom area. Riverside also provided a coffee maker, cups and coffee. Oh yea, and how could i forget...a refidgerator at no extra charge. I hope this helps...If you have any more questions, please ask. Have a magical trip.

We didn't purchase any of our "creations" but I did see a sign stating the pictures you draw and your computer makeover pics were $5.00.
