Just Back -- Any Questions??

Just returned from a quickie trip to MK with my 2 boys, ages 5 and 3. We stayed at All Star Movies (Toy Story). Weather was great, crowds were non-existent. Any other questions?

that's what we did this year....stayed at ASMo and went to MK.... great minds think alike

Thanks for asking, we had a GREAT time!! We had just been to WDW last April so everything was still fresh in the boys' minds. We walked on to every ride with no waiting and never needed to use fastpass until after 5pm (for Winnie the Pooh). Even then, the FP return time was about the same as the standby time. We just didn't feel like standing in line. Restaurants were empty, lots of space on the parade route, everything was great.

Also, no sign on Disney property of damage from Charley or Frances. Approaching MCO from the air, I could see LOTS of roofs with blue tarps on them and a fair amount of tree damage. But fortunately for us, the weather was great while we were there. Good luck to Fla residents in cleaning up and making repairs.

Was Carousel of Progress still open? How close is Stitch to being opened? Going 1st week in Nov. Can see Stitch later....want to see COP!!

COP was still open and we enjoyed it. There seemed to be a minor glitch at the very beginning, as the music and our movement were not aligned and I think we missed some (very little) of the "dialogue" in the first segment. But then it was all back on track. No denying this attraction needs some attention, but I hope you get to see it.

As for Stitch, there have been other posts indicating a soft opening sometime in November, I believe. From the looks of things, I would be surprised if it is open any sooner than that. Maybe you'll be lucky, though.

sif: Thanks a bunch. I just read on another post that Stitch may open for AP holders on the 5th. EE for MK is the 4th so we may take our park hopper there at 8:00 am just to ride it. I don't know how precise they are going to be at closing it but I will definitely try to find out so we don't miss our opportunity. Will definitely capture it on film for posterity this time. Glad you had a good trip....planning your next one yet??
