We just returned home after 8 nights in the world. I'll get a food report ready for ya'll soon, but in the meantime if you have any questions I'll be happy to answer whatever I can.

We ate at LTT lunch (the children's menu has returned to the standard kids stuff, no more healthy meals, it was a test menu that didn't work out per the server), PSB breakfast, CP breakfast, 'Ohanas dinner, RFC lunch in AK, Earl of Sandwich three different times, POP food court, CHH lunch, and tons of snacking all over the place!

It appears that you loved Earl of Sandwich -- I'm eager to hear about your experiences there! Also, if you *happen* to remember the approximate time you ate and how crowded you found the various places, that would be helpful. Thanks!

looking forward to the report!!!!

Yep, we loved Earl! We'd eaten there once before and really liked it so we had to give it another try, and again, and again.

We went to Earl our first night. Dh had the beef and bleu, I had the Florentine that I'd had a year earlier and loved. Dd8 had the PBJ, and dd4 had ham and cheese. Dh and I both thought his beef and bleu was ok, but not great, too dry for my taste. My florentine was superb! The PBJ was SO heavy from the mounds of PB that's thrown on the thing! We saved half of it for dd to eat later on. Dd4 was being a pain that night and didn't eat much of her ham and cheese, but I snuck a bite and it was fine. We arrived at about 1:00 or 1:30 for lunch and the line was long, but it moves quickly. We were able to find a table but many others couldn't.

The very next night dh popped into Earl for us on our way back to POP from a day at SeaWorld. It was about 6 pm or so. He said there was only one or two other people in line at the time. He was in and out in no time. This time he ordered the florentine, which was still great but had been better the night before. I ordered the cannonball, which is a meatball and cheese sub. It was delicious, except the bread had gotten pretty soggy from the sauce. That's no fault of Earl's, though. We'd taken our sandwiches back to the hotel, so it was easily 20-30 minutes old by the time I finally got to unwrap and eat it. Knowing how big the sandwiches are we just got the girls one ham and cheese to share, which they did with no complaints.

One of our last days at WDW we headed back to Earl for dinner. I'm guessing it was around 7:30 or 8 pm when we arrived and again, the line was long but moved quickly. We'd planned to eat there but dh decided he'd rather take the sandwiches back tot he room again. I'm not sure what his reason was but I didn't argue. He had been battling a tummy bug so that's probably it. Anyway, he just had the tomato soup, which I tried a bite of before he dug in, and it was the best darn tomato soup I've ever had! I grew up despising tomato soup, so that is high praise! I ordered the sandwich special of the day, the BBQ beef. It was good, but not great. It was the same beef they used on the beef and bleu, just with some BBQ sauce on top of it. Dd8 had a pizza sandwich which was pizza sauce and melted cheese. I took a bite of that and it was delish! It's no wonder she polished the whole thing off! Dd4 was being difficult and just wanted oatmeal in the room for dinner! Go figure.

Anyway, I'm such a foodie that I'll even rank the sandwiches for you in order of my preference, seeing as how I tried a bite of every single one we ordered.

1. Florentine (from the first night)
2. Pizza sandwich
3. Cannoball
4. PBJ
5. BBQ
6. Ham and cheese
7. Beef and bleu

Oh, I also got an English Trifle as a side one time, which was strawberry jello with fruit chunks on the bottom, a layer of vanilla pudding, and a layer of whipped cream. It was not what I expected an english trifle to be, but it was passable. I left most of the jello as I'm jsut not much of a gelatin person, but the rest was ok.

Anymore questions?

Just wanted to say that was probably not a traditional English trifle. Normally, our trifle has lady fingers in it (hard sponge biscuits) and custard (unless that's what vanilla pudding is :confused3
