This was our 4th trip to WDW and we've stayed at FW each time - once in parents 5th wheel, twice in cabins, and this year in our Class C. And I find that I am somewhat disappointed - a lot of the extra touches are missing. I didn't expect to see obvious mildew and mold in the showers - not at FW! But there is was - and it is such a simple thing to take care of if a little more time is set aside to spritz some bleach on areas before the mold takes hold.
Several areas in the parks seemed worn out and in need of a face lift. And the parks, except for Christmas day and the 26th, didn't seem to be as crowded as they have been in past Christmases. In fact, on the 27th we were able to ride both Mission Space and Test Track by 9:30 in the morning (fastpas for Test Track - walked right in for Mission Space)! In fact, we were able to do all of Epcot without ever waiting more than 15 minutes.
Did enjoy Animal Kingdom, which we though we wouldn't. It's a Bugs Life was a real treat. The tiger enclosures seemed small.
Disappointed that they no longer use the loop names when calling out the stops - that was such a treat; but then, that takes time and probably isn't efficient.
Everyone seemed to have one or more golf carts. My wish would have been to have the horns disabled as that seemed to be the ongoing sport amongst the teenagers - honking at each other as they 'cruised' down the roads. Also noticed a number of kids on motorized bikes out in the street - won't be long before a child is hurt the way things were going.
We had a good time, but unless there are some changes, updates, it will be quite a while before we go back.
