Just back, and a bizarre request...

Just back from a 2 week stay in a studio at the BWV. Had a wonderful time and would be happy to answer any questions.

Now, the bizarre request. Would anyone who is going to be staying in a unit with a VCR be willing to tape a few things from the internal Disney channels and send it to me? I'm talking about the stuff on the WDW Tour channel and the DVC channel. Both are on a loop of approximately 30 mintues, and that's all I'm looking for.

Why? I'm just one of those people who enjoys watching the Disney "propaganda", and we had these two channels on most of the time when we were in the room. I'd love to have them as a kind of souvenier. We were in a studio and didn't have a VCR, and I didn't have a compatible cable for my camcorder or I would have tried that.

Of course I'd be happy to pay all costs associated with my request. Just send me a PM if you would be willing to help.

raidermatt, if I'm not mistaken, I'm sure these are the same videos that that send out when you request for more info from the website. At the DVC website, just go to "Membership Information", then click on "Contact Us" and then request a video package. At the Disney.com website, under "Vacations" go to Walt Disney World Resort and then request your vacation planning video (on the left column). HTH

Thanks, mle, but they aren't the same. Some of the images are the same, but the in-room WDW tour shows a few different things and contains many "zip ah dee doo dah, tip for today!"'s....more stuff about tickets, tips etc...

We have the WDW planning videos from the last three years, as well as a DL planning video. I've asked for a new DVC video, but haven't received it yet, so its possible its identical to the DVC in-room channel, but I'm pretty sure it was different in the past.

We also have the souvener DVD that can be purchased in the parks, as well as a souvenir video from DL, sing-a-long tapes from DL and WDW...

This is in addition to my camcorder tapes...

Just looking for something else to pop-in for a Disney fix. (My son loves them too...)

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...

BCV aren't included in the DVC promo yet. And I still con't figure out where the indoor hot tub that's shown is. They act like it's at a DVC resort.

I think your request is a great one, and good idea.

We're going in October raidermatt, so if no one has taped for you by then, let me know and I'll record you a tape.

We've taped the three Disney Info channels each of the last three year's visits and it's a great way to beat the winter blahs ... we pop in the Disney tape and feel like we're back at OKW.

hey raidermatt I am glad to see that I am not the only one who has the sickness in fact my wife says I am obsessed with disney stuff we are staying in a studio in dec. so I cant help but this board seems very supportive so I am sure someone will come through for you good luck

I thought I was the only nut. I'm leaving next week and had the same thing in mind. I can send you a copy of anything I tape.

I had to do something similiar to make my nephew more comfortable as he has autism and this made him feel like he had been there already. Just playing them over and over again worked for him.Familiarity is the best for kids with Autisum. When my kids were littler it was also great bait!

What a wonderful idea! I'm not going until December, or I'd offer to help you out. My DD loves those channels. Between those, Disney Channel and Toon Disney, we sometimes have to force her to turn off the TV so we can go to the parks.
