just back, a resort review

POR: we have stayed here before and really like the place, alligator bayou is our choice for location but we walked the mansion section and could see a good case being made for that area also, having said that i was a bit put off by a few things this time. the rooms are showing their age, the carpet was dirty with sticky stuff on it, the mattress was broken down on the sides where people probably sit, you almost roll off if you lay near the edge, the sheets did not fit well, people would set stuff or just leave it on the sidewalks,pizza boxes, soda cans, etc. and they would remain there for days. although these things both suprised and disapointed me we would stay there again. i think this section is in need of a refurb and have heard rumors that it is forthcoming. I'll be glad to answer any questions.

that was Port Orleans French Quarter, they did it last year

The rumors are correct. POR will get refurbished in sections, unlike POFQ which was closed all at once for refurbishing and due to the economic downturn after 9/11.

Thanks for the report, sorry about the disappointments with the resort, but I hope you had a good trip! Anyone know when the refurbishment may start at POR?
