50's Prime Time Cafe - This was our 3rd time to eat here. Its always very good! They have the best fried chicken and we tried the pb&j milkshake for the first time (yummy!) We asked for a fun waitress and got Aunt Elaine. She was a riot!
Rose & Crown - Requested good seating for Illuminations and they did their best to accomodate us. Their lower level outdoor seating was closed due to weather but we got the next best available. DH & DS got steak and prawns. DD and I got fish and chips. Everything we ate was good and our waiter was attentive.
Trails End Buffet - This was our first time here. We took the boat across on our MK day and ate lunch. Our wonderful waiter was Ed. It was such a delight! Great food! I didn't realize beverages were included in the price of the buffet but that made it an even better value! DS ordered chocolate milk and even that came with unlimited free refills! We tried to fit in another visit to this restaurant but due to time we weren't able to make it over there again. This was also our first visit to Ft. Wilderness and I was impressed with how peaceful and pretty it was.
Whispering Canyon - Our last morning we ate breakfast here before going to the airport. What a wonderful way to end our vacation! Our waiter was Rick and he just absolutely made the experience!!! The food was good but Rick was awesome! This was our first visit to Whispering Canyon and we'll definitely return. Some had the skillet, some omelets, one waffle, etc. Everything was good but the ones who ordered the skillet probably would just go with an omelet next time.
Cosmic Rays - We ate here late one night and ordered double cheeseburgers with an extra bun only. My friend placed the same order right after I did. On both of our orders instead of getting a plain bun we got an entire burger! I don't know if it was because it was late and maybe they wanted to just get rid of them (probably about 9 PM) but it was a nice surprise. Later in the trip we ate here for lunch and when we ordered the extra bun only that's exactly what we got. The turkey wrap sandwiches were really good and quite large too.
Earl of Sandwich - Sandwiches very good and a good value! But they don't come with any sides, those are extra. We got sides of potato salad and cole slaw for $1 each. They were good but really small. The people working here could use a dash of pixie dust.
Pop Century Food Court - We ate here several times. Mostly we had burgers, flatbreads and chicken strips. One night several of us had shrimp lo mein and that didn't sit right with my stomach but I'm sure it was just me because everyone else was fine with it. They have great ice cream sundaes that were a good value at $3.99 (especially compared to a single ice cream cone at $2.69). The sundaes had 3 scoops of ice cream, a topping (hot fudge, caramel or strawberry), whipped cream, sprinkles and nuts. The CM's get an A+ for friendliness!
The only PS we had that we weren't able to keep was at Sci-Fi so hopefully we can make that one next time. We were very happy with all our meals and being able to use the DDE at most of them made them an even better value!
