Unfortunately, we are back from a great trip at Walt Disney World (5 nights, 4 park days Dec 15-20. It was me, DW, DD11 and DS1. We did 2 1/2 days at Magic Kingdom ( including a MVMCP) 1 day at Epcot and a 1/2 day at DHS. Here are a few observations from our trip:
It was pretty warm our 1st 2 days at the parks. Highs in mid to upper 80's. Cooled off the last 2 days and was nice.
Security was out in full force. Bag checks were thorough but the moved quickly and didn't seem like lines to get in were bad.
The MVMCP was packed as expected but not overwhelming. SDMT was 20 min stand by during the 1st parade.
Rider swap worked great for us. My DD racked up a lot of extra rides!
Had dinner in the West Wing at Be Our Guest at a table right by the rose. We loved that room. The food was okay.
Our DS1 held up pretty good. We took a mid day break twice and powered through the other 2 days. His roughest times were during table service dining.
We loved the Akershus breakfast. Had good princess interactions.
It was our 1st time with magic bands and FP+ and it worked well for us (except for me losing my magic band on our last night!). We were able to get a FP for Peter Pan the night before by searching one at a time with overlapping times. Thanks DIS for that tip!
SDMT was a tight fit for me (6'3 320) but I was able to ride it. We all thought the ride was pretty nice.
We stayed at POP and it was nice. Our bus service was excellent. Only waited more the 10 minutes once. Most waits were under 5 minutes.
I never noticed how many strollers were in the parks until I had one. Stroller parking sucks!
Thats it for now. Ready to plan the next trip!
