Found this board invaluable so wanted to let everyone know how it went!
This was a quick trip for me 50, my sister 43, son 22, and two Nieces 12 & 14 to see HARRY POTTER!!! Niece (14) is a big fan and her parents didn't want to take her so we did!
Stayed OFF SITE & had two day passes with express pass for each park, arrived at the park and thru the turnstiles approx 7:30am on Monday August 3rd. Was directed to the left to Jurassic park, we weren't to far back in line but couldn't tell... lucked out that we were in front of a gift shop with the doors open and the wonderful air condition coming out!
about 8:15 they came around with tickets and we were told about 8:30 they would let us in, someone in line asked how the lines were inside and was told that the only thing that didn't have a line was the rest rooms because people hadn't had time to eat or drink anything yet! 
8:30 on the nose we headed into WWOHP. Went right to FJ, total wait time was about 45 min... after that we headed to Flight of the hippogriff and was on in about 10 Minutes, then to dueling dragon, also 10 min.. went thru a couple of the gift shops that the rides dump you into, shoulder to shoulder so was hard to see much.
Headed out to the rest of the park...
on to the Hulk, used fast pass, 10 min wait if that...
was now about 11:00 and everyones stomachs was a little roller coastered out so we headed back to Margaretville at City Walk for a nice cool lunch. Got right in...after we finished eating the kids stayed to watch the volcano and my sis and I went to the car to retrieve water bottles and hats. We didn't want to mess with the lockers on FJ so we left everything put fanny packs and sunglasses in the car. Worked out great!
Back to the park we headed, did rest of the rides saving the 3 water rides till last... you get SOAKED!
Then headed back to the condo for a swim,shower, change of clothes and a sandwich...then back to the park! was a bout 7:00 and we went right to WWOHP as the girls wanted to do FJ one more time...
wait was two hours and they were not taking any single riders.
So back onto the Hippogriff they went, wait was about 20 Minutes regular line as they already used their fast pass on that ride.
stayed and went into a few shops (still lines but not as long) stopped at 3 Broomstick for some desert and butter beer and left around 10:15.
Wednesday was sleep in a bit, Downtown Disney and Wet and Wild.
Thursday off to Universal Studios. Thru the turnstile at 8:45 and walked direct to RRR. showed 15 min wait, came off of it and went right back on as was only a 25 min wait... when we got off it was 50 min wait.
Then made the rounds at the rest of the park.
so, get to both parks early! Express worked for us as lines were mostly 60 min and up waits and with the express we walked right on or waited up to 10 minutes max. We went to the big rides that were not express 1st (FJ & RRR) so we had the least wait times. Dress cool, drink allot and have fun...
we sure did!
