We stayed at POR-Alligator Bayou - wanted Mansions, cast member said that all the mansions were closed for re=paving the parking lots and for low attendance. I don't think either of those were true as the parking lots had cars in them our entire visit - but we loved the Bayou.

We followed Tour Guide Mike's advice - I'm not sure if there were low crowd levels or what, but we walked on to EVERYTHING. I've gone this week in previous years and never did we have this happen. Mike must really know his stuff.

Fantasyland basically all to ourselves, walked on to Peter Pan, Philharmagic, Snow White. Walked over & on to Splash & BTMRR twice!!! It was hot as all heck, but we got out of each park each day by about 1:00 or so, rested or went to a water park and followed Mike's advice for the evening.

MGM - walked on to Rnr & TOT.

We had a blast and packed so much into 6 days it's unbelievable.

Our last day we drove over to Epcot (rented National $109 for full size for the week, found a Saturn SUV on the intermediate lot & took that one) on our last day. I suppose since it was the holiday weekend more people were coming in as it was starting to get packed as we left about 11:00 a.m. We wanted to get on Test Track (it was closed earlier in the week due to a long -for Florida - rain storm. That was the only ride we had to wait about 1/2 hour for.

I hope everyone else's trips in the upcoming months are as fun as ours was. Thanks again to all for your tips and help.

We was there the same time NO WAITS to speak of anywhere anytime. Used fast pass a few times but usually didn't even need to usually rode what ever we was getting fast pass for while waiting.

Soaring was AWESOME but the scenes change to rapidly. Each scene left us wanting more of it. We had a FP for Soaring so we could ride a 2nd time with no wait and when we was leaving the CM said we could stay and get right back on front row that time 1st time was middle front row is better no feet to look at. And we both saw things the 2nd time that we didn't see the 1st time. Think most would see different things each ride for awhile.

Test track did seem to be down most of the week. DH and I did ride it a couple of times tho.

Glad you had a nice trip. We have mostly always traveled during the busy summer months so I haven't been able to experience the parks like you. I am hoping for a december 2006 trip so hopefully we will get to do all we want in a week instead of 10 days....

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for sharing! We'll be staying at POR next July, so I love to hear anything and everything about it. :sunny:

We were there 8/21 - 8/28 and I thought the crowds were very managable! I was very suprised and very happy. :goodvibes
